You don't need mode-memory to turn on red light in 2 clicks. Turns off in 1 click.
Update: Used them camping for 2 nights last weekend. Our neighbors were pleased we didn't shine obnoxious white lights into their tents. Never needed to recharge because we only used them during setup the first night. The dimmest red was fine to walk to the bathroom, but we needed the brighter red, or the dimmest white light to find things burried in backpacks or the car. We just kept our heads pointed down since they were clipped to our hats. The click settings were easy to remember... until I got tired and drunk. Then my memory was useless. But a quick palm-cover, and a few curse words, work fine too.-----------------It does not remember the last mode when turned on. BUT, for camping for example, you don't need it: First, it turns off instantly with 1 press of the button, from any mode without cycling through -- You just need to have it in that mode for 10 seconds or more.Second, to turn it to dim color-mode instantly (UV blue) long-press the button while the flashlight is off. A second short-press changes to dim red light. (You haven't blinded anybody, or ruined your night-vision with either mode, and it's easy to remember when clipped to your hat. Also, the button is easy to click by touch.) After 10 seconds a short-press turns the flashlight off. (If you continue short-pressing before 10 seconds the lesser-used modes cycle through.)So short-press to turn on white light quickly. Long-press, then short-press to turn on red light quickly. Wait 10 seconds and 1 short-press turns it off (you can always cover it quickly with your hand because it's cool LED.) Otherwise clicking and long-pressing within 10 seconds cycles modes.Well thought out design in my opinion.Pleasantly surprised with these for the price. Needed something shipped fast for a camping weekend. I needed 2 of them, and I didn't want to spend $100. Our last purchase of $20 head lamps was a disaster. They failed within minutes. So I thougt, why not clip mini-flash lights to our hats? A quick Amazon search brought these up.I got much more than I expected for the price. You get a lot of brightness out of the brightest white light. It's a mode I doubt I'll ever use -- crazy-bright. You also get a red light, and a UV/blue light with 2 levels of brightness. In addition their's an SOS mode, and a couple of blinking modes for emergency situations, or car trouble. I can even picture using these on a bycicle in a pinch, clipped to my backpack or belt loop. There's a light on the side that has multiple colors as well (but not quite as many modes, and it's dimmer, although with a wider viewing angle.) I can also picture clipping one to my shirt as a reading light. They have a fairly sturdy metal clip for belts or hats, that's detachable. They have carbiner keychains attached too. Last, they have a small magnet that allows you to attach them to things and use the front light. (To use the wider side-light you can simply use your own strong magnet (like a small neodium) or a phone mount. The clip sticks to magnets too.It charges with USB-C (woo hoo!!!) It works while being charged, so you can mount it and use it plugged in if long-use is necessary. The charging port has an attached plug to protect against dust and moisture.I haven't used the lights yet for camping so I don't know if they're sturdy, work well over time, or stand up to rain-use. I also don't know how long the batteries last (but from other reviews it sounds like they will get through a night or two of camping when used intermittently -- perfect for me, because I can charge them during the day.) Minor annoyances: I wish I didn't have to remove it from my hat to charge it, but there really is nowhere else to place the port so that it doesn't block the magnet or other functions. No biggy. I also wish it had actual mode-memory, but I can't expect that for the price. We shall see. I'll report back if my positive opnion changes.

Cheap yet reliable.
So, when I bought these, it was a two for $15 deal so I figured I would try them out. Easy to use, simple design, cheap. The light output is pretty amazing for how small they are too. After having them for a while and using it daily, I can confidently rate these pretty high. The one I still use and carry has been run over by an suv and dented up but otherwise, it's completely fine. Despite the recent price hike, this is still worth it. Two out of two thumbs.

I'm buying extra
Why did you pick this product vs others?:This light is great. I've used them for over a year now. I bought the pack of 2 and lost the first one the day I got them. But the second one lasted me over a year and only quit working due to my own negligence. It was ran through the washing machine(not the first time) and the the charging port plug was not seated in the port tightly and water got inside. I waited a day before I plugged it in to charge and with a puff of smoke it died.Pros: -The belt clip is great and also holds to a ball cap bill perfectly.-It's bright- The battery last a long time on normal setting(which is bright enoughto do what i need to do)-Type c port is great-Small enough I don't even notice when it's in my pocket.- Red light is great for camping.Cons:-The UV light is terrible. The blue charge indicator light are way brighter and wash out any practical use of the uv.-The brightest setting shuts the light off after about 5 minutes of use. (But the normal setting also very bright)

Can you SAY BRIGHT?
These little flashlights are incredibly bright. They are small and very easy to operate. I have one clipped to the outside of my purse. It's unobtrusive and very handy getting into my house at night. I also keep the second one, (that's correct there are two of them) on a hook next to my bed in case of power failures.I highly recommend this product.

Brightest little light you will ever need!
This little beast is amazing! Easy to change between each of the light settings. Incredibly bright. I have a few different high beam bright flashlights that are more clunky and not so easily kept at your side.I attached mine to my keychain and am so glad I did. I constantly drop... Well a lot tbh lol now I have access to this lil guy all the time and it's incredibly convenient.Time to charge it from near death is about an hour. I have used it several times since I got it. And still have not had to recharge it yet. It's also really convenient with the magnet on the bottom. I bought a couple more and just stuck them on our fridge. I know my family, the fridge is the first thing they hit up when the lights go out. So figured why not and hey it worked! They know where the mini lights are and I don't have to worry about the powerhouse mini flashlight growing legs and walking off to get lost.Worth the price, will be buying more for gifts and in general to have them on hand. Never hurts to have back up lights tucked away in the house, work or vehicles.Definitely sturdy and light as can be. Would 100% recommend folks to get a few of these!

Great little lights
I ordered these lights because they had the functions and dimensions I was looking for, but was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Wow! For the price these are terrific for my hiking and hunting needs.

Not quite what I was looking for, but I'll keep them.
I primarily bought this because I wanted to have a smaller UV light so I could be a bit more discreet when I'm hunting for uranium glass and not carry around a flashlight-sized light. The UV light is much weaker than my UV flashlight. My uranium glass collection barely glowed under it. Plus this device gives off a slight greenish color when the UV light is on, as if adding a uranium "glow" to everything.I'll keep these little lights though. As regular flashlights they're very powerful, and I like that it has an SOS flash as well.
