The kettle itself has a 1.7 L capacity, with a water level gauge up the side. The lid is released by pressing the button on the handle, upon which the lid springs open. The inside of the kettle has a securely attached lime-scale filter by the spout. The element is the entire base of the kettle, giving maximum heating. The kettle sits on a base and is connected via a single central pin to allow rotation through 360 degrees. The switch is located under the handle of the kettle, easy to get at. It has a very positive click when operated and the whole switch lights up to let you know that the kettle is operating.The kettle boils relatively quickly and, importantly, quietly. the outside remains cool to the touch, and the water takes a long time to cool, suggesting that it is well insulated. It automatically switches off once the water is boiled, and has a boil dry protection. I have tried and it definitely won't switch on unless there is water in the kettle.The water pours nicely, no spillages or stray streams from the spout with either large or small volumes of water.The general shape and look is attractive, the kettle looks well made and long lasting. It would look good on any kitchen work top.An excellent kettle, 5 stars.

This an attractive kettle, this kettle isn’t a quiet kettle/boil, it’s average sound & is not a distraction. It’s light, doesn’t over boil & comfortable to hold/fill, feels & looks quality, I would recommend this kettle. I would buy again.

Perfect it’s really lovely, I love the look of the kettle if I have to say something about the kettle it would have been much better for me (my opinion) to have had a colour on the marker of how much water is actually in the kettle as this one is a little dark.Having said that, I still have given 5* because I really love the look of the kettle and it does everything it should. Thank you.

Looks good, we opted for the white version to go with the white goods in the utility.And it works fine - boils water - quickly.The spout is a potential problem however. It isn't the best design as its very easy to over-pour. I would not recommend for an elderly person / someone with an unsteady hand.The other design 'issue' is that the water level gauge is under the handle. The last place it should be for visibility....Sturdy and good kettle but not recommended if you need a 'steady pourer'

I bought this kettle on 18th Nov 23 it is now 28th June 24 and I have drunk a hot blackcurrant and felt sick to find a shard of what looks like rigid plastic coated with limescale at the bottom of my cup. Two nights ago I felt there was something stuck in my throat that I could not cough up, I am now wondering if I swallowed a shard from this kettle. Every single day I used to wash this kettle down with warm water and yet the kettle has brittle parts inside which snap off and to find one in my cup tonight makes me feel sick. This is a dangerous kettle and it is flimsy and to get into this state in the short time I have had it, is far from impressive. I think the parts inside this kettle become brittle with use and then snap off as you pour the water into cups, it sinks to the bottom but could be swallowed easily and choke someone to death. They need to recall this kettle as it is a risk to health and needs pulling from sale. I am far from happy and will never buy this brand again.
