Agri-Fab45-0614 130lb Push Broadcast Spreader, Black/Orange

The 130 lb. 45-0614 Agri-Fab spreader is a well designed spreader that wasn’t to complicated to put together. The video on You Tube was of some assistance and made the assembly a breeze. The spreader is made of quality parts and will last a long time. After assembly I used it to put fertilizer on the lawn and it works flawlessly throwing a 10 foot wide path and cut my work time down considerably. It’s easy to push and a pleasure to use. – Thank you Agri-Fab for a job well done.

On the previous model the handle assembly fit around the frame so that it was secure and couldn’t move. On this updated model the two pieces are round, and no matter how tightly you fasten the nuts and bolts, the handle moves under weight causing the hopper chute to open. This will lead to over applying and making it impossible to hold calibration. Not sure why this was done. I would return it immediately If I didn’t have to disassemble the entire thing to repackage it.

I bought this for work because our other one finally started looking a little brown.If you use it for salt make sure you rinse it with water and lube it after each use.

The spreader is definitely a solid product. My only complaint is the assembly is complicated and the directions are not very clear. It was also missing a couple small parts.

The assembly is not for the average Joe. If your not mechanical, don’t bother. The instructions could be a lot better. Still, it holds a 50 pound sack, but the spreading mechanism is difficult to set and get a consistent flow. Rolls over terrain good, but I’m not sure at this point if I can recommend it.
