Lincoln and Kennedy: A Pair to Compare Hardcover – Picture Book, June 14, 2016

Great book!

I am a 5th grade teacher and love this book, especially since President's Day is coming up. It goes perfectly with our unit. It will have a dual purpose, it will also be used to introduce our next writing assignment, a compare and contrast essay. It can be used with kids in most elementary grades in various capacities. As with all of this author's books it is well written and researched. The kids love the quick facts and art style of the illustrations. I highly recommend this book and all of the others by this author they are versatile additions to your teaching library.

I use the book to supplement comparing and contrasting in a nonfiction text. I suggest that the kids have SOME background knowledge with each president before tackling this book. It is quite lengthy, so to stretch it out 2-3 days is recommended. It has great information/facts about each president. Adults can learn quite a bit too!

I did not realize it was a child's book when i ordered it. I guess I need to be more assertive.

As he has done before, Gene Baretta has created a researched book, entertaining to children AND educational to their parents. An added joy is the quality of his illustrations
