The grill was a great toy for our granddaughter. She watched me grill lots of times and wanted to grill when I do. We found this and it’s been THE toy she wants every time she comes over. It makes a safe type smoke like a regular grill.

This was a great purchase for my daughter! She loves to cook me a plastic lunch and dinner and now she can barbecue me a plastic meal. The smoke that comes out makes her super excited and helps it stand out from her other cooking toys. Will be looking to get more interactive cooking toys for her.

The media could not be loaded.  Don't let the 4 fool you. I always feel I must represent a product on all aspects and not be wowed by the sheer attraction of it.The reason for the 4? To start, instructions anyone? There is a diagram on the box on how to put in the batteries and of the general assembly. I could find nothing to show how to fill the "charcoal" with water, how much to put in or how to activate the coal. If it were not for another user's review, I would have been left to guess.Second on the 4 hit list is the overall construction is fairly flimsy. I could see it coming undone being dragged (even properly) by a toddler across the yard.Last is the position of the on switch. If you cannot locate the switch feeling around the bottom and conveniently forget that you just filled it with water, you will find yourself in search of a towel. At least it does not seem to harm the unit. The mere fact a child could pick this up and just flip it over and possibly damage the coolest part of the set is not the best thinking.OK, with the bad aside, here is the cool part.I feel this will really stimulate the imagination of our toddler grandchildren. The fact it creates mist to simulate smoke from the grill is awesome. The sound effects are tinny, but I don't think a toddler is going to be picky because it does not have super clear surround sound dolby built in.I did experiment a bit to get a feel for what the grandkids might encounter. Thus far, the items that change color have done so sparingly. I did note that when the grill was near a ceiling fan, it did not work as well. I also cover the set to keep the mist in to help it be more effective. I am glad that I tried ahead of time so I don't get, "Grandpa, the food isn't cooking." with big bo boo eyes to boot.The assortment of items is fantastic and I had to play with the ear of corn that you actually shuck thanks to velcro that holds the husks on. The burger that holds together with velcro is also a pretty good idea so little ones do not get frustrated from it sliding all over the place when they serve you your freshly cooked, 100% prime beef burger on a perfectly toasted bun with all the ammenities.We try to keep toys at our home for when the kids come so the parents don't have to lug so much from their home only to forget the odd item nearly every time. We strive to make what we have items that will inspire and set the imagination free while having fun.This set fills the bill nicely and we know it will be a long term favorite. Despite the items I mention at the start, I still feel this is a wonderful item with nice features and an ample assortment of accessories.

did not work, the lights didn't work or the smoke or sound. I was looking forward to this for my grand kids don't buy not worth your money.

There aren’t any instructions, so it took a few to put it together. My kiddo wants to cook with dad all the time now!

The concept of this BBQ set is super cute... and my kids loved it for the first few days until the water from inside the "coals" leaked all over the batteries. It's a huge design flaw in this set.KEEP LOOKING ELSEWHERE.

Very satisfying on how the toy seems to be so realistic and understanding how a grill is actually used. Very worth getting!
