I ordered this Ayxvt Preppy Makeup Bag, Women's Makeup Bag Zipper Pouch Travel because I thought the design as cute, and because I’m organizing my office and desk (New Year’s resolution) and thought I could use this zippered bag to hold office products. The bag is made of a sturdy fabric. The sales page says it is linen, but it feels sturdier than linen to me. It’s kind of like a much smoother burlap, if that makes any sense. It has the strength and sort of nubbly feel of burlap, but it is more finely woven, and doesn’t have loose threads of fabric dust like burlap. The pouch is a kind of cream or off-white color. The design is pale green with a yellowish-green accent color. The print is a repeating pattern of happy little monkeys holding their hands in the air and dancing. The monkeys are pale green, outlined in a slightly darker green. There are tiny flowers interspersed between the monkeys that are the paler, yellow-green accent color. The monkeys in the print reminded me a bit of the plastic toy monkeys that you could hook together to make a chain. We had those in the play room when I was a little kid. The bag was available in this green color, also in blue and purple. I chose the green because I already have several zippered storage bags for my desk in pink, and I like the preppy pink-and-green color combo. The bag’s zipper works smoothly and there are no loose threads from the fabric. The bag measures 10” x 7 1/2”, and has plenty of room for storage. I used this bag to hold small pads of Post-it notes, some loose single rolls of Washi tape, and several sets of colored pens I use for editing. There was still plenty of room if I find more loose pens or small things. Now my desk top is clean and my desk drawers are organized, and I love how the green monkey print on this bag coordinates with my pink zippered pouches. My office is tiny, just a corner of our basement, really. I write fairy tale fantasy books under a number of pen names, and my little corner is decked out with castles and dragons and crowns. There’s not a lot of space, so I wanted to get my desk well-organized and use every inch I had wisely and well. This little pouch was perfect for gathering up the last little odds and ends, and it slipped easily into a drawer, leaving my desk top clear for work. This pouch is cute and sturdy. The zipper has a metal pull, and works well. I used it to hold office products, but you could use this for all kinds of things. It would be great for travel and could hold a lot of cosmetics. It would be great to hold snacks on a road trip. When my kid was little, we used to pack “goodie bags” for long plane trips—full of tiny little wrapped toys/games/treats he could earn with good behavior. This pouch would be great for that—you could get a lot of stickers, card games, little books, crayons, etc. inside the bag. It could also be a cute goodie bag for a party, or a fun stocking stuffer. Soft fabric bag with zipper is great for your organizing and packing needs. Green monkey print has a cute, vintage feel. 10” x 7 1/2” bag has lots of storage room.

This bag is a lightweight canvas material with an adorable purple monkey print. It is roomier than I imagined and should be good for any travel destination where you need to pack makeup or toiletries. You could also use this bag to store other things such as office or school supplies. It is lined in black with a satin material that likely isn't waterproof. So, if you are packing something that could leak, you may need to wrap it in an extra plastic bag. It's a really sweet bag and would make a great gift for any fun-loving person of all ages.
