Simple to sophisticated - you can choose your lighting mode
Safety on the roads is always a concern. Will you get the attention of the drivers before they kill you? These lights improve your odds with fancy blink options and smartphone controls. When you just run them (without a smart phone), they have three blink modes that are very attention-getting, and when you connect them to your Lumos helmet and other Lumos lights, you can send a coordinated message to the world to PAY ATTENTION! The lights are rechargeable - wirelessly with Qi - and attach to the bracket on your bike with STRONG magnets. It is easy to pop the lights off after a ride to recharge them. And you should remember to take them with you when you park the bike in an unknown place. There are advanced functions available thru the smartphone app, such as automatic braking indicators (using the internal accelerometer), synchronized blinking across your bike or group of bikes, and even turn signals (with an add-on switch). Even in simple mode, these lights leave traditional bike lights in the dust. Boost your safety, be seen, upgrade to these Lumos lights.

High quality lights with expansion options
The Firefly lights are a nice set of lights for your bike. I received a pair of the lights and set them up as front and rear lights on my bike. Mounts are included for handlebar and seat post mounting with a silicone strap to secure them. The lights actually sit in a magnetic holder that makes it easy to remove them for charging without removing the whole mount, which is a nice touch. There is an app that you can set up on your phone that allows quite a bit of customization of the lights. The lights can be set up in a network that works together, and with an additional component can be set up to work as turn signals and/or brake lights. The company also makes a helmet with embedded light that can be linked into the network. I don't have all those fancy features, but I did appreciate that the app lets me set a role for each light and enable an all-off function that turns off all lights in the network when one is turned off. One thing to be aware of is that they only charge wirelessly, so you need to buy a wireless charger if you don't already have one. Overall, a very nice set of lights!

Really bright
Very well built. The magnetic mount is not a problem. It's hard to remove just to charge it up. Very satisfied with this light.

Wonderful safety addition to any bicycle!
My son and I both have e-bikes that we ride frequently. Unfortunately, where we live doesn't have bike lanes and we have to ride on the road due to the electric nature of the bicycles. Neither of our bikes came with preinstalled lighting, so I've been looking for something to install at least on his for safety reasons. These are EXACTLY what I needed. Super bright, work well in conjunction with each other, and lots of different ways to attach to either the rider or the bicycle to make SURE they are seen and make sure surrounding drivers know what the rider intends to do. I'm so much less worried about taking him out on rides with me now that I have his bike fully outfitted. If anybody doesn't see him now, they just aren't paying any attention to their surroundings and shouldn't be driving to begin with.

Setup on our bike and they work perfectly! I highly recommend for anyone who rides at night.

Falls out of coupler.
This journey with lumos started with the purchase of a magicycle deer ebike along with a lumos helmet. That was followed by the purchase of a set of these firefly lights about a week later. That then led to the purchase of the pro controller which you have to buy separately in order to operate the turn signal capabilites in the helmet and these lights all together. PROS: When the system operates as it should, its awesome and amazing. CONS: #1. If you have the helmet with turn signal capabilities and you buy these lights you will have to also purchase the pro controller in order to control the whole system at once. Unless you want to use the app on your phone while you ride to control the turn signals. Not practical or convenient. CON#2: On two separate occasions the left rear light fell out of the coupler while riding. The first time it fell out I was riding on a sidewalk and heard it drop on the ground so I was able to stop and pick it up. My thought at the time was that maybe I didn't seat it in the coupler properly. From this point forward I have been self conscious about them falling out anytime I hit a bump. Well, today the left signal fell out again. This time didn't hear it, and couldn't find it when casing the route to relocate where it might have fallen out. This now renders the firefly system useless, and defeats the purpose of upgrading to the pro controller. CON#3: The pricing is outrageous. I have over $350 invested into Lumos this month and over half of that investment is now wasted. A pair of firefly lights as of this posting is 89.00 + tax. A single firefly is $49.95 on their website and by the time you include taxes and shipping its $60.00. Now I am left wondering how I can justify spending that much on light and have to wonder if I'm going to lose them every time on my ride? Paying that much I should have - I demand to have - peace of mind to not have to worry about losing a $60.00 light within a month. I've owned this whole system about a month. Its very disappointing to say the least. Now I'm forced to decide: Do I spend the $60.00 to replace the light that might fall out again, or do I cut my loses... I'm struggling to justify the investment.

Conceptually Very Neat
The "system" is honestly an overall very good idea. The individual components that make up the whole working together in a flexible package is honestly very cool. In particular, I can see this being especially helpful when riding in groups or in situations where you might need multiple lights tasked with different responsibilities or in situations where you might need to shift the duties of one light to another. However, for me, as a single person with a single bike riding by my lonesome, the premium cost for these and subpar mounting system doesn't add up. It works and it easy to setup. Each light can operate as a taillight, headlight, turn signal, etc. Unfortunately, I don't think it excels as a headlight. Mainly due to the shape. I prefer a headlight with a more focused beam. Don't get me wrong, it works fine and you will certainly be able to see where you are going, but I'd prefer a front light with better precision. The mounting system feels like it could be better. It works fine and will certainly get you up and running but I tend to doubt the longevity of the rubber mounting bands as they have a tendency to decay over time while being exposed to the elements. I'm also skeptical of the magnetic mounting. Again, probably just fine for normal day to day use but not necessarily ideal for anything offroad or rocky. The accompanying app is pretty good and mostly intuitive. I don't have any real misgivings about it. Overall, I'm still impressed with this system. I think if you plan to expand your collection of Lumos gear like a helmet or other lights, this could be very valuable and useful. Anyone doing a ton of commuting where visibility is key should consider this as I think it is headed in the right direction. However, for me, or anyone doing some occasional road riding or just wants a little bit more visibility, you may be better served going with a more traditional, less smart alternative.

Solid light, good blinker, terrible magnet, lost after one ride
The actual light itself w/ the control would serve as a great blinker on an ebike, I was excited to have it. I secured the mount perfeclty, won't budge, the light itself is magnetic to the mount. I went for one six mile ride and lost both blinkers -- obviously the magnet sucks. Really disappointed, quite literally threw away the 80 bucks for the two blinkers. When attached, quailty product -- in reality, awful b/c dont stay on bike. I may buy again (irritating) and retrofit my own way to secure the light. Another SUPER irriating aspect of this prodct is that they dont give you a way to charge the lights -- its Qi charging only --- no USB C and if you dnot have a QI charger you cannot charge.
