The digital scale ruler is great I attached it to my rod wrapping jig. It gives me a perfect measurement to create wraps on my fishing rods.

I use this alot. I do bidding for construction and landscaping. Being able to custom scale is great when I cannot get plans printed to scale on paper. I recomend this whole heartedly.Having said that, it is a steep learning curve. They could do a great service with an instructional video.

Saves a ton of time on a jobsite, built extremely well!

It works for a digital scale, but needs some work with the variances of the measurements. (For example: Being able to set the variances to have the measurements to read to the nearest 1/16" or 1/8" versus 1/64" and 1/32", when measuring plans.) It is great for Engineers, but needs some revisions for the Architects and construction workers. Tape measures read to the nearest 1/16" and most contractors build to the nearest 1/8" scale.If these setting could be implemented into the digital scale for the architectural scaling, it would be awesome. For now, calculating the 1/64" and 1/32" to 1/16" and 1/8" scale every time is time consuming and costly.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Expensive for a reason. Fantastic for any scaled drawing that is a copy. Also use on map pictures. Just determine one known distance, set a custom scale, and measure anything on drawing. Great devider too. Must watch videos on YouTube to get all out of it. I no longer search for a architectural tripoint ruler with a close scale to what I need. Great tool, but need to watch videos, practice using, and keep charged...lol

The ruler is wonderful once I watched some you tubevideos on it but the case is junk if you spend money on this case you will be disappointed

makes estimating so much easier doing the takeoffs on the drawings well worth every cent. changing the scales is easy.

This ruler is geared towards professionals using scaled technical drawings. I'm not one of those people. I'm more of a geek that like gadgets. And this one scratches my itch in that sense.I've got this for hobby use. Last weekend, I've used it while doing woodworking. I've had plans that I got from internet. It had most dimensions properly, but of course not every dimension was printed since some can be calculated with others. But with this ruler, you don't have to do that. Once I set the scale right, I can confirm all the dimensions. I've even used corner distance to confirm the piece was square. It definitely sped up dimension checks. However, there's a gap for pointer to slide across. I've tried my best to protect it from wood dust, I don't think it'll be using it again near a tablesaw.I found it more useful for paper crafts. The division function is pretty good. It's accurate to mm, which might be problem for smaller measurements. In that case scale function might be better.For dividing with precision, I mark rough locations with included function. Then I scale with the longest edge with real measurement of 12cm for 12 division. Move to slider to 1,2,3 etc and mark at better accuracy. Much faster than using a calculator.Overall, it's expensive but very practical if you can affort it.
