Low cost, easy to program, good range.
I bought this remote to use instead of the large, heavy cumbersome remote that came with my audio component. I just wanted to have something cheap and small that would control volume, source, muting and display dimming. This unit is perfect for the task. It is light weight, buttons are large, it is silver so it is easy to locate in the room. The training process is a breeze to accomplish and it learned the desired commands from the original remote. Another reason I picked this remote is because the keys are not lighted (really not necessary). This should prolong battery replacement. I use rechargeable cells.

Good for seniors with memory problems
My mom need memory care and she was able to use it. Very easy to program. Perfect for older people with memory problems.

Junk TV Remote
Fussy to program, and the Channel Up and Down buttons don’t seem to use a “Debounce” electronic circuit, so one press jumps two channels instead of one as the press echos in the circuit. Basic button application electronics oversight. Poor design. Maybe I’ll gut it for some components to use in my own projects. As it came to me, it’s not at all fit for its intended use, which was to control my TV with. Volume control, and mute work. Channel “Up & “Down” buttons skip channels two at a time. As is, the most expensive AAA batteries I’ve ever purchased.

Very Simple
I bought this for my Mom, who is 101 years old, it is far easier to operate than the one the cable company gave her. But it was no easy to program, I finally gave it to the tech guy at her facility and it took him several tries.

Almost great.
The product is fine. The setup was easy but slightly tedious. The one big problem with it every button copied and worked fine except for the Power Button. The power button works fine on the factory remote but would not program on the Big Button TV remote, no matter how many times we tried. It is unfortunate. I needed this for an elderly MIL with dementia who gets overwhelmed with all the buttons on the remote. So having one remote to turn the unit on/off and another to control it is just not an option.

Life changing for my father with dementia
My father is 90 with dementia and struggled with the remote control that had all the numbers and buttons. This remote keeps it simple with only an on/off, channel up/down and volume up/down. We got an antenna and took out the cable box to make it even easier for him. The buttons on the remote are big and easy to see. My dad can navigate the tv and remote without assistance thanks to this remote!

Perfect for person with dementia
Bought this for my mother —having a simple button display and locking battery compartment (secured with screw) is perfect for anyone suffering from dementia. I put a piece of clear packing tape across the sliding panel on the bottom half of the display so that she cannot accidentally reset the buttons.
