OK if you need them for a specific purpose.
Fits well on PVS-14 and reduces the eye strain ... obviously the green glow too. To me, it does, however, seem to reduce the effectiveness of the NVGs...by that I mean their ability to make dark things brighter. Took mine off after a few uses.

Protects ocular lens and eliminates fogging
Pros: protects the ocular lens of your expensive night vision device from scratching, reduces visible "splash" of light from the NOD off your face, allows for more flexibility in how far off your face you want the NOD than the standard eye cup. and most importantly it allows sweat to evaporate off your face without fogging up the NOD - very important if you're moving around instead of sitting in one place.Cons: adds $65 to the cost of already expensive equipment for what is effectively a piece of specially tinted plastic, ~10% reduction in perceived brightness of the imageIn conclusion, if you're playing hide-and-seek with NODs this is a must have, if you're sitting in one place or are just having fun with your NOD, you can safely pass on this.
