Really good live catch rat trap
Really nice trap, smaller than the ratinator but cheaper and same concept, it works well and is very easy to set up. I use almonds or almond butter as bait. I've caught several with these. On the con side I think this trap probably works best on smaller rats and not the largest.

Works!
These damn rats are smart. Glue traps? Nope. Snap traps? Sometimes but not always. These traps work! First night I caught 1 in each trap. Great product easy to use

This is a great easy to use trap
These actually work pretty well not easily triggered once set. You fo have to place the food in yhe way back or a tiny piece of food in the tray I made the mistake of lutting a big piece on the tray and the critters was able to get it out and not get caught..so far have caught ine giant rat and another smaller one. Over all I really like this trap. I hate killing things so this is the way I choose to capture them ill take them to the wildlife center the creek or a forest area. Great buy im glad I got them

Good quality, simple and intuitive operation, effective small animal trap
I have a few HavAHart brand small animal traps, which work well but have very sensitive triggers that can make setting up a challenge. I decided to try this other brand and model, and am pleasantly surprised. The mechanism is much less fussy than the HavAHart design, and yet it seems to trigger reliably and the mechanism that locks the animal in is effective. It also has a feature that allows it to be baited and set, them moved to the desired location without fear of false triggering en route, followed by simply moving one end of the trigger wire from its 'safe' position to the 'ready' position. It is possible for the user to leave the 'lock' wire in a position too far forward that might prevent it from working as designed. To alleviate this, I hold the end of the trigger wire and gently move it to an 'almost triggered' position to visualize the beginning of the triggering sequence; if the 'lock' wire starts to move rearwards correctly, then I proceed to move the trigger wire to its 'ready' position with confidence that all will work well (otherwise, if the 'lock wire' moves forwards, I know to move it a bit rearwards and try my test again). I don't do live capture/release, as it is prohibited in my suburban community, and allowable release areas are too far away. I keep a typical 5 gallon plastic paint bucket full of water in the garden shed, and this trap drops down inside the bucket just enough to leave no air gap. 30 seconds later the deceased critter can be dumped out of the trap into a Quart sized zip-lock storage bag for disposal in the trash. My only complaint is that the bait tray is quite a long reach from the door end of the trap, so reaching it is a minor chore. I always wear disposable (nitrile) rubber gloves when handling the trap for cleaning, baiting, setting, transporting, and 'execution' and dumping. This prevents touching the critter or its possible fluids, and also avoids leaving my scent on the trap. Before each re-use, I reach into the trap with gloved hand, holding a folded half-sheet or paper towel and wipe the bait tray until visibly clean. I re-bait with peanut butter on the end of a wooden Popsicle stick. I have two of these traps, and keep them pretty busy reducing the vermin population near my house to a tolerable level.

Catches rats
I bought these to deal with a rat problem after my previous traps broke. They work great and are easy to bait without accidentally tripping them yourself. I did have one fail to close due to a small rock being in the way but as long as the area is clear they close and stay closed.

Very easy to use
Excellent traps. Very easy to set up and nice size for smaller rodents. Stays clean, easy to add bait and easy to set the trapping mechanism.

Catches the little critters
I got these to capture escapees. We have some small rodent pets that occasionally escape their cages and these work great at catching them safely. Put some treats in them, place them in an area where the little critters are likely to be, and viola, captured! Even though we use them exclusively indoors, every so often we do put a drop or two of oil on the hinges. If used outdoors and exposed to the elements they will rust.

EXCELLENT TRAPS
These traps are easy to set up, no pain, no hassle. Granted, it is a bit awkward putting the food way at the far end. When I put a dab of peanut butter on the end of a butter knife, I somewhat missed the release, and got peanut butter all over the mechanism and the little tray at the end... but the bacon stuck to it nicely. I laid another little bacon square in the entry section ... and within 2 hours I had trapped the little menace, that had eaten all of my fish food storage, ate up a nice pillow I had in my closet, and drove the dogs nuts for about a week.... I had bought smaller traps before but this little rug rat was morbidly obese and did not fit ... This traps can easily fit a big rat or even a tiny kitten.
