I use this product to add color to my chocolate and macaron paste mix. Works well. For the items I am working with I do not add water. It is FAT SOLUBLE. Fat-soluble: dissolve in fat (chocolate, buttercream, cocoa butter,etc.) or add directly to your product for a vibrant color. Hope this helps.
