Transformer isolated.
What I like most about this adapter is that it uses transformers to isolate the outputs from the inputs and power supply. The inputs also seem to be floating, which should help with any ground loops. My experience with similar units has been noise generated from those ground loops, but it's not a problem with this adaptor. I do wish it did not require power.

Good way to get amplifier connections on a factory stereo.
Works just like it should. Hooked up to factory stereo to get amplifier connections. Easy to wire and how to wire it is printed right on the unit. No searching for the instructions to wire it. It works great.
