Outdoor Salt, Sand, and Storage Bin, Black

This storage bin took 5 bags 50 pounds each bag of Salt ice-melt, also pretty easy to put together. The bins are pretty strong material Overall good size bins worth the money.

I bought 2 of these and they work so great. It holds 6, 50 lb. bags of salt. It's very convenient to have around. It keeps everything dry, and it seems very durable. It also has forklift slots which makes it very convenient if you have to move it for some reason and its full and heavy.

This is a high quality bin for storing ice melt salt. It does a great job of protecting your salt outdoors in storage. I love the bin so much I have a couple more at my workplace because of the quality and ease of use. Do keep in mind that there is no latch for a lock. You may need to make adaptations if that’s a concern. This bin could also serve as a dry space for package deliveries. All in all, a solid unit I’d recommend!

Maybe I should have read more about the size of this salt box because I was expecting something much smaller. This is about four times bigger than I had imagined -- but that's a good thing. It'll hold more sidewalk salt than I can use for the rest of my life (hey, I'm in my 80s so that statement is true). I'm in favor of that because the bags of salt are heavy for me to lift and I don't think I will be any stronger in the years ahead. I can just load this salt box with that lifetime supply of salt. I ordered this item through Amazon's resale link where it was described as "very good." I think they could have said "like new" and they would have been correct. I couldn't find any flaws, it looked unused, and assembly consists of just pushing a couple of plastic pins into holes so it holds the lid in place. This arrived on May 31st so I won't be needing salt for quite some time, but the box will double as a place to put a black planter with red geraniums in it during the summer and fall. I think it will look great because my house is white with black trim. It may look like there's no flat surface to put the planter on, but that's just the way it photographs. Only the front of the lid slopes downward. It makes it easy to lift the lid.

This container holds a lot of sand and was a great purchase. It's very sturdy. Helpful when the driveway is covered in ice during the winter!
