Some information is missing on the maps like campsite locations and other landmarks

These maps are good, and definitely a must for someone trekking in the Whites. The paper is good quality, and of a good stiffness, which I appreciate. The clarity is good, I had no trouble reading them.I have two gripes: as another reviewer said, the scales are just wacky. I was disappointed to find out that they aren't 1:24000, since I use this scale often with USGS maps, and it facilitates the use of a mapping protractor. My other minor complaint is that there were some features omitted from these maps, namely what I encountered for streams and crossings. Some of these could be intermittent but I encountered two significant streams that weren't mapped, so be aware that there may be a couple of surprises on your routes. Overall they're a good reference, and for someone like me who uses map and compass for primary navigation they're a good standard.

I use the white mountains guide religiously for hiking in the region. The maps included with the guide are relatively fragile paper. These are identical maps, but printed on a much more durable material. I feel comfortable taking this with me in my pack and not worrying about them fatiguing out or getting wet.

If you have a White Mountain habit, as I do, these water-proof maps are a must-have. They are updated to go with the new White Mountains Guide.

Phenomenal detail about the hundreds of trails in the region and the perfect accompaniment to the trail guide. Well designed and sturdily produced, I'm excited to make the trip to the White Mountains region to use these.
