Beware when first handling these very efficient rat traps, if they are unfamiliar to you. If you are not cautious you could easily lose a finger while setting them up. That said I can highly recommend these traps. They arrived yesterday, on time and in good condition. Safely packed in a strong cardboard box. I figured out how to set them up then laid them down in two different corners of our garden, where we have recently sighted rats. I used a sprinkle of sunflower seed on each trap as bait and by nightfall two rats had been painlessly despatched. A convenient pair of rubber gloves is also supplied with the traps, which made handling of the dead rats much safer. I have now reset the traps and I have every confidence the problem will be resolved.

These are very effective and easy to use. Placement is important I have found, and the best placement is facing into a wall where they run.I caught 5 in 3 days and cured the problem in my garage.I now have them setup as a preventive measure.Once you catch one it incases thier head so disposal is easy.Great value

The bait holder could be bigger maybe?

Have had these out for a month or so now and they seem to have dealt with the problem we were having. Be aware that they may also trap other wildlife. Mine have caught a couple of birds. They are very large.

mice and rats seem to avoid these traps like the plague. Had these for months but not caught any mice or rats.

I was apprehensive about buying these as I thought they seemed cheap. I opened the box immediately after delivery, put some cheese (cliche I know) into the bait cup holder thing, set the trap and waited.. I wasn't very confident so I left it set for 24hrs and went to check. And to my surprise I caught quite a sizeable rat about 7 inches long excluding the tail. All I can say is how surprised I was and how pleased I am with these traps. They work very well and if someone else is in two minds about these, take it from me they definitely work!

Its not nice when you see your kids playing in your garden and then wild rats scurrying around your boarders. This year we have seen rats for the first time in our garden but also dead on the roads. I don't want to use poison as we have pets and I don't want to hurt wildlife outside of the rats. I set these traps and a couple of other kinds and these are the ones that work. I use fine breadcrumbs as bait, then set the traps and place them next to our fences. I put wood, tile or wire mesh over them to make little tunnels. I also use a trail camera to spot activity. This helps me set the traps in the right places and spot if they are making a difference. The first 3 nights nothing happened then for a week after every night we caught rats. I caught 13 total, all very dead and obviously instantly. No blood or mess, I hope/trust it was humaine. Trail camera showed no activity for three weeks and so after that I put the traps away. If I need them again I know what I will be using.
