Works well enough.
So my one year old discovered that pressing the button on the cable box makes the TV go black and makes her two year old brother REALLY upset, so naturally she started doing it all the time. I initially duct taped an old credit card over the button and that actually worked okay, but it was ugly and also my two year old likes peeling stickers and tape, so that was also an issue.Anyway. This thing works okay. When installed with the shorter side on the front of the cable box, it allowed room for the baby to easily wiggle her finger underneath it and reach the button, but I was able to make it work with a little creativity. One thing that would help make this more secure would be using command strips instead of Velcro, because the Velcro not only creates a good sized gap between the the guard and the cable box, but it just doesn't hold very tightly and allows for a lot of movement when little fingers are poking around the edges. Command strips would lock it in place much better.

Not good for Xbox 1
Got this so my kid and cats would stop being able to press the Xbox button mid game. Unfortunately you are still able to touch the button through the guard.

Will certainly do the job
This will definitely keep the little fingers out, could be about an inch or two longer, only issue is it takes Hercules to remove it, the Velcro has a bit too much adhesion, very hard to take apart when needed.

It’s an okay product..
Just received this couple days ago.. so far, it’s good. I bought it because my 1 yr old son like to push buttons on our xbox, but most importantly, likes to remove the disc in it.. so, for the power button, he can still push it on and off, the plastic on the guard is too thin for that.. but, so far, he hasn’t been able to get the thing off to remove the disc.. so it’s doing half a job at least. It is super easy to install. Comes with the guard and two stickies .. and Velcro .. so it sticks to the device & it’s velcro so you can remove it as needed to for example put in a dvd or something .. i guess my only thing is How strong is this sticky and velcro.. 🤔 hopefully long enough to detour my son till he stops trying to bother the Xbox! Lol

Love the idea but one year-old can rip it off
Bought this item to put on the front of sons Xbox because my one year-old likes to press the buttons. She can tear it right off the Velcro no problem, But it’s the thought that counts I guess

Only works for certain devices and mine isn't one of them...
This only works well for certain devices. When my daughter was young and we had an old-style TV we had one of these that worked like a charm. That's why I bought this one now that I provide daycare for my 3-year-old button pushing addict cousin to keep her from messing up the settings on our receiver. For this to work for our receiver, the bottom part would have to be at least 2 inches longer, making both parts even in size or possibly extending the height of the top as well as the bottom, since the receiver has several alluring knobs to turn in addition to buttons to press. I wish I could find a product on the market that was like that. I have to say the item arrived on time and well packaged so the company does a good job there, the product just doesn't work for me, nor does it work for a lot of people on its current, limited, form. I recommend measure, measure, measure every aspect of your device before purchasing this because once you put that velcro on it's really hard to get the adhesive unstuck!

Too big for XBOX one
I had bought it to stop baby from turning Xbox one on and off but it’s too big and he can still press it through even if I put it upside down

I want to decide when to turn off the cable, not my 1 year old.
My 1 year old son became fascinated with pressing the blue button on the cable box which turns it off and on, so I was in search of a solution that would still allow me to change the channel, but prevent him for turning it on and off whenever he wanted. I found this Parent's Unit Multiguard and thought I would give it a try. It has sticky pieces that I placed on it an attached to the top of my dvd player, and allowed it to go in front of my cable box. The first couple of days that it was on, my son was still trying to push the button. I was able to change the channels as if the guard wasn't even there. My son has given up on pressing the button now! I was so glad I found this solution.
