These new Luci lights can be charged with a USB-C cord as well as by solar which is a nice upgrade.I have been using these for years both when camping and at home, particularly during power outages. I charge them and tuck them away for months at a time and they are still charged when I need them. I like the 3 levels of brightness (and fortunately have never had a need for the emergency flashing light mode!)There is a hanging strap on both the top and the bottom so you can shine the light either up or down. During a power outage, I hook it over the know on a upper kitchen cabinet and it lights the whole counter. I also walk around with it using it as a lantern.With the solar charge, as long as a storm doesn't linger over days, I can recharge and keep going indefinitely. A full charge is good for about 20 hours, so even without recharging they last several days.

This is my third Luci light and the reason I keep buying them is because they are so reliable, durable, long lasting, and BRIGHT. I keep them in my van for camping, car for emergencies, my backpacking backpack, and one in my house for power outages. They are lightweight enough to take on weeklong backpacking trips and bright enough to light up my entire campsite when I’m camping. Now that they added a charging port, they’re even easier to use and charging is super fast. Highly recommend!

I actually bought this one for my mother. I have 3 of my own and this is the second one for my mom. She has it for black outs or hurricane prep, one in her room and the other in the living room. I use it for hurricane prep, camping, car emergancy kit, kayaking at night, travel (as a night light), petsitting (also as a night light if the bed I sleep on doesn't have a lamp next to bed). One of my favorite purchases I've ever done. So many uses!

I was introduced to this light by a fellow scout leader. I love this light. The only weak point is that the tabs to hang it. They tend to rip easily - other than that, great lightweight product that recharges in the sun.

I bought some of these when they came out. I think they are great.They are useful for power outages, camping, survival kits even the kiddy pool at night. I even bought a couple for my buddy’s sailboat survival kit. I’m putting my older ones on the semi retired list and use these new models. They have added some smart improvements including the ability to charge them via USB. I high recommend these.
