Excellent
This is perfect for steaming tamales. I love the capacity and simplicity. The color is okay. It doesn't match anything else in my kitchen or house for that matter, but I can live with it. A couple weeks ago I made and steamed up about three dozen tamales and there was plenty of room for more.

My very favorite kitchen piece!!!
When I say grab the pot at my house nobody bats an eye. They know, with great certainty, I mean this pot and its perfect lid. I am in love with this pot. It is replacing a Rachel Ray stockpot that I also loved but my daughter, somehow burned a hole through!?!?! Is that even possible!?!?! I guess so... I kind of want to buy four more of these just in case!

A very high quality steamer.
It holds 27 well filled tamales, and steams them perfectly. The bottom of the inner basket sits more than two inches above the bottom of the pot, so there is plenty of room for water. It does an excellent job of retaining the rising steam and returning it to the bottom. It's east to clean and looks great.
