The ZMNHBD1 is used for switching on or off up to two electrical devices. The module can be controlled either through Z-Wave network or through a wall switch. The device can be mounted inside a “flush mounting box” and is hidden behind a traditional wall switch. Additional functionalities are the optional temperature sensor, the measuring of power consumption as well as the repeater-function to improve range und stability of your Z-Wave network.

Compact and reliable
Works really well. Have one of these hooked up to two ceiling lights in my kitchen, both of which are separately switched with manual 2-way switches. Requires power so it was installed in the ceiling space in line with the lighting circuit. Only needed one despite having two separate light clusters as it has two switch inputs on the module. Can still use the manual switches independently or I have this hooked up to my Samsung SmartThings hub as a single light, controlled nicely by my Amazon Echo. They are really quite compact and so should fit fairly easily behind a ceiling rose in the ceiling cavity (but probably not inside a standard UK one). Been installed for 6 months now without missing a beat.

Failed after 2 weeks with burning smell
I have several of these devices in use within the house, all controlled using OpenZWave via Node-Red.This module was connected to a 25W Fluorescent load and 2 x 4W LED lamps on outputs 1 & 2 respectively. It appeared to work very well for the first 2 weeks then failed for no apparent reason, blowing the lighting fuse and and making a burning smell. From the case it is clear it has failed with scorch marking on the outside. When it worked, it was great, but this failure has made me question the reliability and safety of these modules.

Reliable relay.
I’ve never had a problem with any qubino relays. I will keep buying them, especially with the built in temperature reporting. They seem to be lasting well and haven’t failed yet with them in daily operation for a few years.Works well with Vera and smartthings.
