Another great product from Keen
I buy my kids keen sandals every summer. These kids hiking boots also do not disappoint. I got these for my oldest son. He says they are very comfortable. Easy to get his feet into and they don’t rub.

Awesome
I love these boots, down to the details. First, they are warm and waterproof. They keep my kid’s feet warm. They also have some great tread on the bottom (which includes an interesting almost felt-like material to give extra grip). The laces are bungees and don’t require tying. Everything gets secured with a top strap.I love that the sole wraps up over the big toe to create some extra protection. The color is really great and the material is durable. Perfect for wet slushy days especially because the tongue of the shoe is attached at the sides to keep water away from socks.Lightweight considering all the bells and whistles. Our favorites for snowy aftermath when taller boots aren’t practical.

Good if your kid has slender feet
But my 3-yr old has broad feet and had I known these boots were so slim, I would've gone up one size; just to gain that extra room in front.Other than that, them boots are pretty. They're cleanly stitched; no crooked lines. Even the velcro straps are cleanly sewn up. Some parts of the boots are glued together as expected and even there, the workmanship is neat; barely any smear along the glued edges. Quality work! The soles are thick enough that I think my kid will outgrow these boots before the soles wear out. At $75.00 (at the time of writing this review), it's a fair price for such a good product. It's just that since these are boots for a growing kid, I feel a little uneasy about the $75.00 because in a year or so, they'll be too small already. YMMV.The boots are water resistant for sure; dunno about waterproof. I guess it all depends on what amount of water we're talking about here.

Perfect for Nature Study
My 6 year old ( big for his age) loves these hiking boots. His school does a nature study hike every Tuesday, so he needed something suitable that wasn't going to leave him blistered or with wet socks every week. Also needed something he can get on and off himself quickly. These are absolutely perfect. And they must be comfortable because he opts to wear them even on days when it is not nature study. Obviously they are Keen brand and they absolutely live up to the Keen reputation. Solid boots, I expect that they will last awhile and be passed down to his cousin.

Nice comfortable boots for kids!
I bought these for my 11 yo who wears a size 6.5 in athletic shoes, so we ordered 7 and they fit as expected. These are nice boots without laces and instead have an adjustable cord to get them on and off. We cannot currently test the waterproof claim as it is summer right now (we live in a state that gets no percipitation in the summer), but my kiddo cannot wait to test this out this winter! They say that they are nice and comfortable with some good cushioning. They also love the ease of the no laces as they make them much easier to get in and out of the boots. They even think they could run a little bit in these if a surprise PE day comes up, but probably not if they have to run a mile or more. All in all, these are very nice shoes for kids and the brand is well known for quality (we have had some shoes from this brand in the past) so I expect these should hold up well until they are outgrown! I will update this review if anything occurs that others might want to know about. Thank you for reading this review and I hope you found it helpful!

Stable shoe, lightweight, but protects little feet!
Always have liked Keen for their hiking shoes, and these are no exception. Very well made and comfy! Support ankles well, good stiff toe box to protect from kicking/tripping over rocks, and my son loves that he has big boy boots now, just like mom and dad.Velcro—the blue-green shoes in little kid sizes has the Velcro strap. Ours are size 11 LK and have Velcro up top. Another reviewer mentioned the big kid shoes don’t have the Velcro strap, so wanted to mention that detail. (I don’t know about the black or bright blue shoes, but suspect it’s the same with them.)The shoes fit as expected and are really nice looking (reminds me of a mallard’s coloration). These are not cheap kid shoes, but like other Keen shoes, these are high quality and will hold up well enough to pass down to a younger sibling or donate.

Decent shoes
My daughter likes them. Good for stomping around the wilderness.

Good.
Overall, they're good shoes. They don't come up really high on the ankles, but it offers decent coverage. The shoes are little heavy and stiff, and there is the potential for blistering around the ankles if your child is unlucky enough to have them rub. The grip on trails is good, too.
