The last one I owned went through the washing machine and was never the same. It hung on for several uses before it slowly died. This was the third that went through the wash and all died the same way. In a hurry to buy more, I noticed this one. Small and flat instead of round. It is nice, bright, and holds a good charge for quite a while like the round ones. It has a look to add a keyring or nylon string to hang it which is handy, but best of all it doesn't have to go through all the phases to shut off. It has those phases, but the on and off button is separate from the "phases" button which is more user-friendly. That's great. It also has a strong magnet is very useful and fun to play with.
