Excellent tool to have on hand
This little device is fantastic. I bought this for use with imaging SSDs for Raspberry Pi 5s and it works flawlessly. The imaging process is lightning fast, zero connections issues, and the price is entirely reasonable. End of day extremely happy with the item.

Exactly what I wanted!
Perfect little adapter in the right tiny formfactor! Nothing else to say, which is a good thing. Plug in an SSD, plug into computer. Works!

I've only use this with Gen 3x4 NVMe cards. But seems to work well.
I've use this to clone a Crucial P3 1TB from an old Toshiba NVMe and I've recently used it with an WD SN530 1TB on a Surface pro 7+. This adapter is so inexpensive but it works for everything I've needed it for. It's not going to give maximum speed for what some of these chips can do but it gives you more than enough speed and I believe I was getting about 300 MB per second during my heaviest cloning. Which was fine for my application. There's only one small issue I have with it and it has to do with the plastic enclosure. The plastic enclosure has a slot that you have to get your NVE chip through in order to make a connection to the actual port inside. You can see the port through a little window. The problem is this slot is exactly sized to the drive's width so when I placed the heat sink on the drive in order to place it in my Surface pro 7+ the heat sink made the drive slightly too wide and I could no longer insert it in the adapter. I had to use a whole other adapter to test out the final heatsinked drive. That was a minor irritation but could be a big issue if you're using any kind of heat sink. I didn't feel like trying to break the enclosure open or try to file the slot larger. They made it for bare drives only, please consider that when purchasing. I've also use it on devices that are low power and for the most part I didn't have a big problem but I'm unsure with some modern NVMe power requirements if you could use this with a USB-C hub or not. Likely not. Considering how inexpensive it was it was exactly what I needed so I'm thrilled with the purchase and will keep this for future uses. If you're looking for a full-time enclosure get something with the heat sink made of metal. This is for temporary use only but it does the job well and I experienced no disconnects or other oddities with the adapter. I recommend it for cloning and quick data recovery.

Good but no drive migration
Works but I have to format the drive first. Then I tried to do drive migration with Samsung magician because I am using both Samsung M2 NVME drives. I can open and use the drive on the USBc but can not do a drive migration using the software because the software does not recognize it. I'm sure if you are just going to use it for storage and transfer it will work but not for what I intended to do when upgrading my smaller SSD to a larger SSD. Will just have to try and find another way.

Does the job at a good price
I purchased this with the intention of cloning my original m.2s to larger ones so I can upgrade some laptops and PCs. I have been doing that since I have gotten it and have absolutely no complaints. It does exactly what I need and was that a good price point

Great for the radxa rock 5b+ arm board
only had for a week but transferred 1tb of data to ssd at 700mb/s without issues. i was experimenting after continued bus errors from a rtl9210b enclosure on a arm board with linux ext4 formatted ssd. i got recommended to try a jms583 controller and this seems to have solved my problems. runs slightly warmer than the rtl9210b but great heat management nonetheless. very pleased thus far. will purchase a couple more without the odd design and have a full enclosure and use this one as a backup.

So much more convenient to use than an external enclosure! No need to deal with screws if you have a lot of spare NVME's and you want to transfer various things to and from the system!

Reconnu du premier coup par Windows, autant avec un nvme PCIe SSD 2230 que 2280, fonctionne très bien et rapidement.
