Awesome!
I've watched all his videos now... very entertaining and his tricks/magic/etc. are a lot of fun. Definitely recommend anything from Derren Brown.

Bewitched, bothered and bewildered
This box set is a glorious tryptich of Derren Brown's live shows. His unique fusion of expert conjuring, hypnosis, subtle suggestion and baffling memory feats are all snugly wrapped up in the most engaging and entertaining showmanship. As incredible as his tv work is, it is on stage where Derren is at his most mesmorising. Indeed, in one of the interviews featured as bonus material, Derren himself professes to enjoying the freedoms afforded by the theatre setting and how his beautifully crafted evenings of mind boggling entertainment become further honed over many repeat performances. This is echoed in the development and fine-tuning of his presentation skills over the years and the three shows, which is both interesting and rather endearing.Certainly Derren seems to be in his element on stage, effortlessly commanding the rapt attention of his spellbound audiences, and his enthusiasm and delight are infectious. His undeniable charm and charisma carry you through each live show and the surprising variety of acts, from the light-hearted and fun, through the dark and frankly quite unpleasant and each time culminating in a jaw-dropping, awe inspiring finale which will have you helplessly grasping for explanations and happily failing to fathom it out!Derren is a master craftsman and makes it a pleasure to be fooled by his disgustingly talented array of skills and techniques. Even on the tantalisingly rare occasions when he explains how certain acts were accomplished, this somehow serves to confound us even more, as the layers of complexity are peeled away to reveal just what astonishing depths lie behind each stunt. Similarly, these fabulous live shows lose none of their wonder upon repeat viewings, but rather allow the opportunity to try and get your head around what on earth is really going on or spot things you missed first time but, more often than not, simply marvel anew at just how infuriatingly clever and deliciously bamboozling Derren Brown is.He will surely leave you, like me, bewitched, bothered and very happily bewildered!

Brilliant!
If you are a fan of Derren Brown, you will love the live collection. It shows him at his best, interacting and joking with his audience. I always find he is a lot better in his live shows. He thrives in a live environment. My personal favourite is 'Something wicked this way comes'. The glass act makes you squirm, in a good way.The 3 DVDs are more than worth the price paid for this. A must buy for Derren fans but also a good introduction to any one who have not seen his act before.

Lovely memento
As someone who has seen two of the three stage shows in this box set live, I ordered it mainly as a memento of the shows I'd seen. I must say, however, that the DVD of the show I missed -- Something Wicked This Way Comes, the first in the set -- makes me wish I had actually seen it live.If you haven't seen these shows live, prepare for a different side of Derren Brown than the one seen on television. In his stage shows, he seems a bit closer to the classic Victorian vaudeville trickster, with acts that range from physical 'geek tricks' (in Something Wicked This Way Comes) to dancing tables and mass mind reading (An Evening of Wonders), as well as a spirit cabinet (Enigma) and lots of audience participation throughout the shows. All three shows close with a bang, so to speak. The ending of Something Wicked is hilariously funny, whereas the closing routine to Enigma is truly amazing. The one missing star is due to the fact that while bonus scenes are included on the first two DVDs, Enigma is sadly limited to the hour-long excerpt that was shown on tv. While that hour is filled with many wonderful tricks, it does leave out some of my favourites from the actual stage show that I had hoped to see included as bonus material. In closing, if you've seen the stage shows, these DVDs are a lovely memento. And if you haven't, they may well convince you to go and see Derren Brown's upcoming tour!

A guilty pleasure
I'm absolutely chuffed to bits that I have my hands on this box set, I couldn't resist getting this since the excitement of going to see Derren's Svengali show recently. The man is amazing! even more so in these other performances...Something Wicked Comes This Way, An Evening Of Wonders and Enigma....I was glued to the screen in awe of his talent. A pleasure to watch again and again!

You've gotta like a bit of Derren Brown.
3 great DVDs and the shows are unmissable. Just when you think the tricks (or illusions) are over, another facet appears. How on earth does a man acquire such talent? Well, it's probably lots of practising, whatever it is, I think anyone would find Mr Browns shows to be amazing and I can't recommend them enough.
