Pups love it
It's been working great and the pups love chasing the light.

It's like a mini light show
This is a very strong laser and the best part is that when you twist the head, it makes a really nice light show. It's very entertaining for kids of all ages even adults will enjoy this as well. The only downside in my opinion for this laser is that it plugs in just like a USB to charge. So to get this charged, you'd have to plug it straight into a charging block.

Very nice laser pointer with a few shortfalls
The media could not be loaded. I've owned several different laser pointers over the years and I have to say that I like this one the best so far however there are some shortfalls that keep this from getting a 5 star review.First of all this laser is rechargeable. This for me is a great feature and one of the main reasons why I ordered it. My other laser pointer is run by 2 AAA batteries and I have to remember to take them out when storing it so the batteries don't destroy it if they leak. With this being USB rechargeable I don't have to worry about forgetting to install those batteries or worry if they're dead or not. I can plug this in and get it charged fairly quickly. Unfortunately though that also leads to the first shortfall. The USB connector is a male end and not a female end like most other devices. While having a male end allows you to not have to carry around a cord, it makes it difficult to find a charging port for it. I have USB wall outlets at my home in some spots and I'm unable to use these because the pointer is too heavy and falls out of the wall. This also means that I can't plug it into my desktop computer either since the ports are up higher. So how do I charge it? I plug it into a USB charging hub that I can lay horizontal on my desk. The laser itself is nice and crisp but it's not as visible as my other one. My other pointer is able to be used for astronomy pointing as the green beam is visible at night and in low light. This beam is only visible if there's enough dust in the air to see it. The head on it though is pretty cool and allow you to have a kaleidoscope type effect with the laser dots. It's easily unscrewed to make a single dot. Fun if you just want to play around with laser light. This is NOT A KIDS TOY though and shouldn't be given to small kids just to mess with without adult supervision. It's really bright and is a laser that can blind you.My last thing is one of the biggest shortfalls of this. When shipped there is a little plastic protector that goes over the power button to keep it from accidentally being turned on. You'll really need to keep this little clip though and be sure not to break it as there are no other safety measures on the laser. If you toss this in a briefcase, purse or backpack without this clip it's going to turn on and if it's left on long enough it's going to get hot as any laser will when powered up for a long time. This really needs to have a locking button or a better type of clip. I can see breaking this one easily since it's really only meant for shipping and not permanent use.Overall I still gave this 4 stars as it's a good laser it itself which will work for my uses. I'll have to find a small protective case for it though to prevent accidental powerup when the clip finally breaks.

Very Powerful
This laser pointer is a lot bigger than most the little pet ones you buy in the store. I tried to play with it with my cat for a minute but she seemed far more interested in the box it came in, typical. But I'm really not sure I feel super comfortable using it with her more than the once because it is extremely powerful, like super bright, I'm worried I'd hurt her little eyes on accident when she pounces at the light or something. It would be great as a pointer for a meeting slide in a bright room though. I'm not entirely sure what the practical use of the Kaleidoscope thing is, it's fun to mess with, but given it specifies to "prohibit the use of children", fun little mistranslation, I'm not sure a just for fun feature is something you would want to include. It seems to be of really good construction, I just think it could do with some refining in its definition of its general use case.

Bright, but not that bright
This is a bright pointer, but not what I hoped. I wanted to use it to point out stars with the kids, but it isn't bright enough for that. The pattern gizmo is a gimmick IMO. It charges by a USB-A plug built in which is nice.

Ultra Bright Green Laser Pointer is Not a Toy
This laser pointer is ultra bright, even when the beam is reflected off of walls or even dark objects (never point at a reflective surface, chrome or mirrors for example). It's also a little bigger than I thought it would be. The first time I tested this laser I aimed the beam at my off white wall, and the reflected light was bright enough to give me some temporary spots in my eyes. This laser is not a toy and should not be used around children or those who might not understand the use and risks of lasers, even the lower powered versions. Never point this at people, children, animals, or aircraft (illegal to do so in the USA).This laser is good for spotting outdoors. The beam is so bright that it forms a visible beam as it lights up the particulates in the air. The specs say it has a range of 5000 feet (1524 meters), which is almost a mile, but over a kilometer. I have not tested it that far but have put a dot on a building a few city blocks away with ease. This laser is best used outdoors, but can be used indoors in a laboratory setting with proper care and precautions (laser goggles for this green wavelength). I plan to do some research with this pointer. I would not recommend this laser for playing with cats or dogs as accidentally shining in their eyes will blind them. Note that lasers can also damage digital camera sensors, which is why I did not include any pics or videos while the laser was on - it will leave permanent spots on the camera sensor indicating damaged pixels.I do like that it is rechargeable, but there is no indicator that I can tell which shows it's charging or when charging is complete. To charge it a screw cap on the rear of the laser is removed revealing the USB A connector. I also like that it has a safety over the power button. It's a good idea to keep the safety in place when not using it. The front laser aperture has a pattern diffuser for special effects, and it must be removed (unscrewed) to get the full power collimated beam. Be sure to pay attention to the DANGER sticker on the barrel.
