I figured I would write a really detailed write up on this bag here, since no one seems to have commented on it or reviewed it, except for one person. Which I find astonishing given how incredibly nice this flight bag is. I am currently a student pilot and have a lot of gear / books / needs that I needed a flight bag to help me with. I spent hours upon hours reading reviews and doing research on different bags, their quality, and their dimensions. I ultimately ended up selecting this bag, and I could not be happier with the purchase.I was so excited the minute I took this bag out of the box. Right when you first see it and touch it, it becomes evident that this bag is incredibly high quality and built really, really well. The material is strong, almost every single pocket and compartment is padded and has thick lining. The seams are solid. The handle feels tough as hell. The zippers are AWESOME. They are heavy, solid, massive hunks of steel that are extremely well designed and have a great feel to them. There is no way they will break, ever. There are so many specialized compartments in this bag that are made specifically for certain pieces of flight gear. I included some pictures of mine all loaded up and I tried to convey where I keep everything. This bags functionality is amazing and it does an excellent job of helping to keep you organized. The overall size of this bag is perfect, in my opinion. It is large enough to hold just about anything you could ever want to bring into an airplane, but it is not so large that it is cumbersome or difficult to stow or handle in the plane. The big middle compartment is just large enough to perfectly hold standard size textbooks, if you so choose. I keep all my books in a separate backpack, because I have found that you never need the learning textbooks when actually in the cockpit. I keep a rather large kneeboard, baseball cap, foggles, and a few other small items in the large center compartment, and I still have about 75% of the space left for more stuff in there. All of the side compartments are really cool and well designed too. This bag has such a nice flow to it, I can't recommend it enough. If you like meticulous organization, this is definitely the bag for you. Based on other reviews I have seen and what I know about some of the competing brands, the quality of design4pilots and this crosscountry bag in particular, is far superior than any of them. I just love it. It filled the specific gap that I was looking for flawlessly. Perfect size and perfect functionality for any pilot, really. It also comes with removable dividers for the middle section (pictured) and a shoulder strap (not pictured). The seller was fantastic as well! Do yourself a favor and buy this Crosscountry bag if you are having a hard time deciding on one....you will not be disappointed.

I’ve looked at all the flight bags suitable for a student on Amazon and this is the first one that comes close to addressing my needs. My GoFlight Lite bag was way too small and inconvenient. This bag is not heavy duty meaning the zippers are light duty and the material is lightweight. That being said there are however a number of compartments and interior dividers which makes it very easy to organize.I like that it has a separate compartment for my headset. Note that the sunglass case clipped to the bag in my pics is not included however there is a detachable shoulder strap which I am not using. There is a dedicated zippered radio compartment on the exterior (mine is holding a water bottle) and the large interior compartment has two removable dividers (I am only using one. My 9 inch iPad in its hard case fits inside and there is a sleeve on the top for quick access to checklists and diagrams. There are numerous little pouches and sleeves for pens, calculators etc, many of which I am not using yet. The gold logos are rather garish but it’s not like i’ll be carrying this anywhere that non-pilots will see it. I’ve used it four times so far and it works very well. I keep it on the back seat when my instructor is in the right seat. It would probably fit between the seats if there is no console on the floor in that spot. We will have to see how durable it will be.

This is the perfect size bag for the weekend pilot and really reasonably priced. Enough space to carry everything I need without feeling like I'm having to mash stuff in there like I did in my previous bag. And more pockets than I even know what to do with!One thing I especially like is the dividers for the center compartment. The "headset" pocket felt a little exposed being on the outside where it was, so I used the dividers in the center compartment to make a spot for both my primary headset and my passenger headset. I also found that the center compartment is tall enough to hold a kneeboard vertically, which is nice.

Wow what a great little bag! Looked like it would be too small for what I need from it but it is LOADED with pockets and zippers all over the place! Deep enough for bigger things. The headset pouch unzips to an expansion pocket and fits my headset very well and is padded which is rare in the less expensive bags. Room for all my pens and pencils, sectional charts, E6B manual computer and electronic calculator. And the list goes on and on. Small and compact and cleverly designed to fit all my stuff! It feels like a magicians magic hat that you just keep pulling more and more things out of. And it all fits!! LOVE IT!!!!

The overall quality and materials used are good.I am a Student Pilot hoping to soon get my Private. It holds everything I need it hold.Center Compartment: holds my Zulu 3 headset and case + 2 cases for glasses (Oakleys + Foggles)Side Compartment 1: Padded area and I keep my iPad mini 5 with knee strap in this compartmentSide compartment 2: unused but could used for a backup radioSide Compartment 3: Padded area for phone, wallet and car keysSide compartment 4: Pens + Pencils + Utiltiy tool + Flashlight (room to hold more small things)Side Compartment 5: Hold my Archer Supplement BookletSleeve 1: Logbook + Sectional + Check lists + notepadThere is more space I could utilize and will probably start carrying my Chart Supplement book in the main compartment.

This is the best bag I have owned to date. I have a lot of bags for all different purposes and this bag is one of my favorites. I use it as a 'boat' bag, carry VHF radio, binoculars and there is room for everything else plus. It has multiple compartments and is designed perfectly in my opinion. I would highly recommend this bag for multiple uses. Get one!!

As a GA Private Pilot, I was worried it would be too big to fit the jump seat but it's just right. Lots of space for EFB toys as well as my Light Speed headset.
