Great service from Amazon
Original data logger didn't work. However, Amazon support was exceptionally good in arranging a replacement.

Instrument Good, Software Poor
Very good instrument though software loses it a point as it doesn't have very good export capabilities for other uses.

Useful for simple measurements of variations in level, or as a proxy for occupancy, machinery operation etc.
Note: my units appear identical but are branded Tenma 72-10184Low cost sound datalogger, purchased to get an idea of variations in level in a custody centre. Software is adequate to set up and download the device and export data for manipulation in Excel etc. 94dB 1kHz calibrator shows the three I purchased to be within 1.5dB of specification.In know of no other alternatives of similar size and price point - very useful.The downsides:-PC would not recognise the software CD, worked OK on a different PC, copied software to a USB memory stick and installed OK from there (on Win 7 x64)Mechanical weakness in case at microphone end - all are showing signs of stress and one arrived very cracked around the end of the battery compartment.Limited battery life (about 10 days)
