Westminster 120127 Multi-Sensory Glacier Fiber Optic Light, Basic

Pictures don't do these justice. These are wonderful, dreamy, furry things. It's like having a pet made of light. The color-changing aspect is mesmerizing, especially since the colors in all the lights don't change at the exact same time. The time of the various lights is offset ever so slightly, so you get this wonderful gradient of colors as the lights transition through hues.I wish I could give a better example to show just how cool these are.Also, they are portable! AAA batteries required, but they are very energy efficient and the portability means these are actually more fun to carry around into another room without having to worry about finding a plug. A surprisingly plus for me :)

Let me first tell you this was very economical and I am very pleased with the product. Very relaxing, the colors change and the base has these crystal like rocks that react with the light as well. This is a fun night light, party lighting or what every you would choose to use it....The changing colors are so unique and mesmerizing...I purchased this for a friend that uses it while working on the computer late at night...It works well and does not disturb anyone else in the house. Since it does work on batteries, I would suggest having a stash on hand so you can keep it going...do not have to replace that often. Great fun and nice lighting at parties, especially if you have several.Disclosure: I purchased this product for full price by my own choice. My ideal, makeshift computer desk is created by merely placing a four-foot, laminated shelf across the soft arms of my reclining easy chair. The height of the shelf easily clears my lap and legs.Just to one side of my laptop is placed this beautiful lamp. As I sit in my chair in the dark at three in the morning listening to i-Tunes radio through a good pair of stereo headphones, the lamp emits a gentle and lovely light that soothes me and quietly enhances the memories brought forth by the music. There is no buzzing, power-draining motor to distract from the mood, but only softly glowing yet vivid colors from red, green and blue low-drain LED's refracting through the clear plastic "ice" crystals that fill the base of the little lamp. The crystals slowly change color, and may bring to mind Superman's Fortress Of Solitude. It will be soothing to both him and you perhaps until the crystals turn Kryptonite-green. To me, the lamp also suggests an inverted ballerina. Her hard body glows with energy and tapers to a tight waist, while her splayed, fiber-optics tutu radiates the changing, pinpoint hues of a universe of stars. One can blow gently upon these stars and set them into thrilling fibrillation. A sensitive person of any age can derive serenity and quiet pleasure in a darkened room alongside this lamp.

This fiber optic light is really beautiful! The base is especially cool when lit up. You have to turn off the lights to see the fiber optic light up but definitely worth it for this price. My only complaint was in the packaging. The product packaging is a thin plastic tube and it was shipped in a manila envelope instead of a box. Of course, the tube was smashed and cracked on delivery and the fiber optics bent.

These lamps are pure JUNK!! Took a chance & sure enough the lamp is what is described in the negative reviews. Got 2 of these that I can’t return. Arrives in a clear plastic box that will slice your finger off in a second. It takes 3 AA batteries NOT AAA as in the specs BUT the battery compartment is so poorly made, the batteries do not fit & fall out since the cover can’t close. Not even enough room in the compartment for the batteries to fit. Base it cheap chipped up silver coated plastic. The fibers are all different lengths plus many of them fall out when you remove the lamp from the box. Web description is totally misleading. This is barely a dollar store item!

i have several of these types of fiber optic lamps or displays but this one, certainly, is among the nicer ones that i have. i'm not generally too concerned with the base or placements or settings for these fiber optic d elights...or, at least, i didn't think i was. but, since purchasing this and a couple other attractive, quality lamps of similar description, i have noticed that those lamps i've a tendency to place in the forefront of, or as centerpiece to, whatever design whimsy finds me placing on a given night. this lamp takes three AAA batteries which last a number of days when lit continually...and longer if i remember to turn it off at the beginning of each day. the colors...well, the colors and light simply fascinate me, they are so full and beautiful. the only drawback, which is truly not that significant, is that it is simply turned off or on...light color, presentation mode, and brightness are not adjustable. well, two drawbacks -- i would like an ac adapter to use with it.

Très sympa pour la déco, il faut juste changer les batteries régulièrement si on l'utilise beaucoup car au bout d'un moment les couleurs bug ! Emballage très moyen.

Very bright and colourful fiber optics effect is awesome.

Good product. Enjoy the changing lighting, though wish there was more control over which colour can stay longer.Need to treat with care as the plastic fibers bend easily.
