I have had the helix lt, helix stomp, Fender tone master pedal and let me just say…the cab sims on this and the choices within the effects BLOW THEM AWAY!!! Do yourself a favor..spend the money!! You won’t regret it!!!

ok so I'm not a pro guitar player so take what I have to say with a grain of salt. This pedal is not very easy to figure out how to use effectively the touch screen is nice but some of the sounds are not so good. I'm sure they are all able to be adjusted to your liking but is going to take some time to figure out. I have had other pedals like DigiTech, and the sounds were good out of the box and way more intuitive to use..maybe this pedal is beyond my comprehension as a novice. Is it fun heck yeah! is it expensive heck yeah! lol! I am still playing with this and having fun so there's that.

There are a few of these multi effects processor units on the market, all with many features similar to this FX150. Compared to the others, the big difference for this Flamma FX150 is the touch screen. I also have a Valeton GP200 and was curious if the touchscreen on the Flamma would make much of a difference in terms of ease of use. After spending some time with the FX150, I can say that the touch screen really does make a noticeable difference when you are using the unit on its own. When connected to a PC and using the app, which will control most features of the unit (no looper controls in app), the touchscreen makes less of a difference since most control is done from the computer. I went back to the Valeton GP200 after using the Flamma for a while and found myself trying to touch the screen on the Valeton to control it... missed having the touch screen! Sound quality for the unit is good with included presets that sound OK, but a lot of them are effects heavy to show off what the unit can do. Easy enough to edit existing and/or create new presets that are more useful. The unit has an all-metal housing that feels sturdy with footswitches that have a soft click feel. The unit is small enough in size that you could travel with it, but it's worth noting that it has an external power brick... something I didn't see shown in the product images. I included an image with this review showing the unit with the power brick. The FX150 includes a tuner, drum machine with decent sound drum rhythms (including metronome sounds), and a looper that has dubbing and playback drum syncing. There is also an aux in which allows a music playback device (e.g., phone or mp3 player) to be connected for playing along. I almost forgot to mention the expression pedal which can be customized for different functions for each preset (wah, volume, etc.) These features, in addition to the large, responsive touch screen, all add up to make this a compact, easy to use, and complete guitar practice unit.

First of all, in order to clarify any confusion, the "no battery" expression means this model is non rechargeable. There are two versions of the FX-150, the rechargeable FX-150B and the non rechargeable FX-150. This one, the FX-150, is powered by an AC adapter with a three pronged outlet like you would see in a laptop adapter. Pedal junkies have heard this before. It's built like a tank. Good weight, solid, and super easy to use. There's no manual in the box, only a leaflet that describes the controls. You'll need to go the the manufacturer's website to download the manual. I was lost until I read the manual. The touchscreen is as sensitive as a cell phone. Very nice! The pre-loaded programs aren't very useful to me. Lots of heavy distortions that all kind of sound the same to an older guitarist like myself. I went to the open slots and started programming my own sounds - compression, overdrive, modulation, delay, and reverb. Within a half hour, I was able to closely reproduce my pedalboard. I love the touch sensitive slide controls that allow you to drag your finger to dial in the amount of effect you want. You can even drag the pedals to the order you want. There's a fully adjustable drum machine and one of my favorite effects, a looper. It's also worth mentioning that it has an exhaustive list of amps and cabs. More than I've ever seen in a single processor. I've owned several multi effects units over the years and the Flamma FX-150 has the quickest learning curve of any so far. I'm not familiar with the brand but it ranks among the best I've tried in its price range. It's an excellent practice tool and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it for stage use as well. I'm going to be paying closer attention to this brand in the future.

This is hands down the best guitar effect pedal I have ever owned/reviewed. Firstly my favorite thing about this is that you don't even need an Amplifier for practicing. There is a headphone out jack, that takes your normal CD player style phones and let's you rock out. It comes stock with a large number of presets that are all equally impressive. Nothing sounds bad or off. On top of having the presets, you can also make and customize your own presets or setups. When first looking at all of the features of this pedal, it can be a little overwhelming, but believe me, this thing was designed with common sense in mind, from how the setup works, adjusting your effects, using the looper, recordings, setting your drum tempo up or just using the Tuner, it all flows together so well. This pedal feels like it was designed for me. I love it! For me, it's the only pedal I need. It can do any effect, and each effect can be totally customized, the tone, volume and effect level of each individual effect is customizable. You can even emulate other Amps and cabinets with this, and it still sounds awesome just using headphones. Oh yeah, it also has a responsive touch screen that allows you to change you effect pedal layout order to however you want it, as well as adjusting the effect features. Flamma set out to both impress us and spoil us rotten, and they hit a bullseye. If you're an aspiring musician on a budget who wants to sound like a pro, get it. Because it is basically an entire guitar studio in a little 11'' x 6'' box. It has thousands of dollars worth of effects, functionality and utterly everything you'll need to sounds like a professional musician. I cannot recommend this enough. I hate that I can only give this 5 stars, because the level of product quality, features, parts used in its creation, programming, and over-all feel and value is just perfect. Its an engineering Masterpiece. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED 5/5 STARS *****

I'm almost ashamed to be reviewing this as I'm a hack guitarist at best. I enjoy playing, but I have no natural talent whatsoever. My guitar skills are similar to Rodney Dangerfield's golf skills in 'Caddyshack'-- I enjoy playing and make an effort to improve but my 'learning curve' is a hairpin turn. I have had a lot of fun with this device. It's really sleek and stylish and the touchscreen makes it easy to operate--even for a dilettante such as myself. It does a lot of cool effects but I'll be honest--me using this device would be like if a squirrel or other woodland critter found an iPhone on the ground and decided to drag it back to his nest. He might find it engaging to mess around with, but he would be in no position to render a judgement on it. I'll defer to the opinions of legitimate musicians but I will say this--the device is such that it's very accessible to all skill levels which isn't always the case with effects processors. Highly recommended!
