This is an outstanding piece of kit. I use it to drive my Sennheiser HD 700 headphones (two of them connected with a splitter) for watching operas and symphonic concerts in my big screen home opera theatre. The results it delivers beat my Kef iQ / Nad / Oppo setup hands down. Better than "being there" in many respects. I also have a greatly acclaimed Little Dot Mk V headphone amp, and this much smaller and lighter unit (no good as a "paperweight" by the way) delivers an equally satisfying headphone experience.

Having seen the other review I had to write something. I didn't buy this amp on Amazon but I hate to see a headphone amp this good on 1 star.It truly is fantastic. I use it primarily with my AKG K712s and it provides great clarity and a very precise potentiometre (volume control) and what makes it really special are the EQ features.The XBass is exceptional. It makes my relatively flat sounding headphones very powerful on the low end frequencies (bass) whilst maintaining the clarity of the mid and high frequencies. The low setting (one dot) gives a little punch. The high setting (three dots) turns my headphones into monsters!The 3D sound is also a nice addition and works well. I own mostly open-back headphones so the sound is already quite open but that doesn't mean it's still not a useful feature. It is more beneficial to closed-back headphones though. It basically opens the soundstage (meaning it sounds like you're hearing it live at a concert instead of hearing it in your head). This has two setting levels too.Overall, this amp is all I hoped it would be. Very much worth the investment in my opinion.
