Examination Review for Ultrasound: Abdomen and Obstetrics & Gynecology 2nd Edition

I bought this book all the way back in February, and I am just now leaving a review. I usually do not leave reviews but I feel the need to make one for this Penny book. I only used this book to study for the ultrasound ARRT and ARDMS abdomen board and I passed on the first try. There are (some) things this book lacks in covering specific topics, but you can leave that up to your discretion to use this book alone or with other ones! the online practice tests are amazing i use them all the time

The book was really concise and it helped me understand things easier. But just be aware that the terms used in the exam questions are different on how it was written on the book — you must read and r e a l l y understand each detail and for sure you’ll pass the exam. I bought this book and this is the one and only book that I’ve used to study for the Abdomen exam and I passed it on my first try! For me personally I wouldn’t recommend any other book. This book is enough BUT you must really understand and digest everything 😃 Thank you S.Penny!

Good study book if you are studying ultrasound

FANTASTIC book to have! Penny does a great job at being concise yet precise in his writing. I studied this book and was able to SUCCESSFULLY pass both my boards of OB/GYN and ABDOMEN. I think this book by itself was excellent, especially for the OB/GYN board. The Abdomen board was tough! Definitely use this book as one of your resources but my advice is to venture out to other books as well. But all in all, I do not regret this purchase at all. Two thumbs up!

This book is extremely helpful for new or experienced sonographers aiming to achieve a credential, or to have as a guide in the clinical setting. This is not my first purchase from this author, and as always, he updates appropriately with what is actively being seen in the clinical setting, as well as, on current ARDMS boards. The layout of this book is easy to read with excellent images and tables to demonstrate the pathology being described. The review questions in each chapter are also a great way to test your knowledge.Definitely worth the investment.

The pictures arent the best but do have good practice questions. I used this and ultrasound registry review to pass my obgyn boards the first time

Absolutely recommend this book. I passed the ARRT and the Abdomen ARDMS just by meticulous studying this book and doing the online mock tests. Definitely get this book if you are studying for those exams. Haven’t taken the OB ARDMS yet so I can’t vouch for that exam but I will update once I take it. Good luck everyone! 😊🙏❤️
