RUST ON THE LEAD SCREW
HOLY SMOKE. GOOD VICE. MODERATE RUST ON THE LEAD SCREW. SOME PITTITING IN THE CAST IRON BASE. thIs IS NOT A 100% PRODUCT. Poor QC for sure. works well.

Quality control issues. Quick release is nice.
First, this vise arrived with pits/holes in the surface that the jaw slides on. See photos. It still slides, but debris is likely to collect in there and scratch up the surface more. Also the branding sticker was stuck to the bag device came in. So if you buy this as a gift, be warned. Aside from that, this vice is nice because the quick release is a huge convenience.
