Funky, unusual and highly effective desk lamp
This BenQ desk lamp is an unusual but ingenious design. The circular base is very heavy so it won’t tip over no matter what, and you turn it on/off & adjust the light’s brightness/intensity with a highly tactile finger-stroke control. It’s a pleasure to use and the quality of the reading light is excellent. The most unusual feature is the banana-shape of the lamp to offer a wide arc of light over your work surface, so it’s neither a spotlight nor a full-room light but both at the same time. It’s a strong reading light but illuminates a wider area than just the book/document in front of you. The design is balanced and poised, and looks like nothing else on the market. A very tough power cable connects to the separate power-socket plug, offered with multiple international options of plug-prong design which easily slide in and lock. There is a fat multi-lingual user manual but also an easy-read quick set-up sheet, which is all you need to plug-in and off you go. The only possible downside is that it’s a bit pricey, but once you get it out of the box and set up you quickly realise what a high-quality and effective design it is, worth every penny. Excellent product with a unique, funky aesthetic. Highly recommended.

Nice reading light
This lamp is on the pricier side, but it’s absolutely worth it. The light is gentle on the eyes, and with multiple colour and brightness options, it works perfectly as a desk lamp for working from home or as a bedside lamp before bed. The base is very heavy, so there’s no worry about it tipping over. That said, it does take a bit of effort to position it just right on your desk—but once it’s set, it stays put. Overall, it’s worth the price, and I’m hopeful it will last me a long time.

Well Worth The Cost, A Superb Craft Light
This is such a good craft light. Bright, dimmable, with a great range due to the extendable arm and long light. I hand sew lampshades and knit. Both require clear vision. When daylight fades, normal indoor lighting isn't sufficient for close work. I've tried magnifying glasses with a light, a head lamp, and neck lights, but they weren't helpful. This is an expensive option, but it's worth the money if you need a good, clear, extending light.

A higher investment, but it's amazing ...
I'm a Home Worker and so having a good quality desk lamp has been the biggest priority. This is not a cheap lamp but it is soooo worth the investment. It has a good solid base that is in complete balance with the lamp (you're not going to easily knock it over). You can change the colour of the light from a bright blue-white through softer colours, but all the colours are exceptionally kind on your eyes - I work long hours and at no time have I suffered with eye strain/tired eyes since having this lamp. Somehow, the light is also in perfect sync with my screens/monitors and doesn't cause glare or washing-out. And I just love that 'on/off' is a simple touch of the ring on the lamp strip - no faffing about searching for switches on the cable, or finding rocker-switches usually placed in inconvenient places. I absolutely love this lamp - exceptionally good design!

Just brilliant - the best reading desk lamp I've ever owned
I bought a blue one of these a couple of years' ago and it has been fantastic. It was extremely difficult to get hold of one this time with BenQ struggling to get this lamp into the UK market. So... I imported a silver one from Germany and... it's just as good - comes with all the adapters needed to work perfectly in the UK and identical in fact to the UK model I bought a couple of years ago. If you can get one for a reasonable price, then I strongly suggest buying one. They are sylish, well made, highly functional with the wide beam from the 'smile' shape of the head of the lamp, fully adjustable and the touch on off works perfectly.

That’s a great choice.
I heard about it from a friend, and I will also recommend it to other friends.

probably the best desk lamp for writers and readers you can find
I have been searching for a lighting solution that I like for my writing desk for a while. While not perfect, this is probably the best single product to reply to my demands that I have seen on the market. There is a lot to like. Good build quality and nice attention to detail: the speckle paint, the metal finish of the lamp head, the braided cord, etc. Also the fact that it can swivel on its base is a bonus, and the head is on a ball socket which means you can position it nicely, without it flopping around. It uses a system of warm and cool LEDs in conjunction to produce a variable colour temperature which is great. The light quality is fantastic. So what are the "weaknesses" ? I would agree with some other reviewers that I would have liked to see the light dim more than it's current minimum setting. On the flip side, however, the lamp does get pretty bright---I don't find myself needing it's maximum power. Just wish sometimes it would go down a notch or two on the other side of the spectrum. While the lamp does a good job at diffusing the light, (for the cost of the lamp) I almost wish it came with some sort of cloth or paper diffuser option/add-on. While that might violate the perfect aesthetics of the lamp, it would really make the light quality outstanding. Lets face it, this lamp is bloody expensive! That's not a bad thing in itself, but it does make it really hard to justify the purchase when you can get a lamp at your local grocers for about £5. But let's face it, this lamp is WAAAAAY better than any lamp you'll get at a general appliance store. Still, when you're on a budget, it's hard to admit that you just dropped over £100 on a "lamp". Best thing I like about the lamp? Easy : it _really_ helps with eye-strain. And it's well suited for reading and writing on either reflective surfaces (paper) or light emitting surfaces (computer screens). If the lamp was less astronomically priced, or was more dimmable or came with a diffusion sock, I'd give it a 5-star rating no problems (which it probably deserves).

The BenQ e-Reading lamp provides wide, even lighting without glare. Adjustable brightness and auto-dimming make it very convenient and comfortable, greatly reducing eye strain. Highly recommended!

Easy to set up and provides great lighting for my desk. The way it is designed means no shadows or dark spots around my computer or desk. Easy to adjust mode/brightness. Highly recommended.

COSTO: presa a 185€. E' tanto?
