Worked great! Would not hesitate to recommend.
Used for a two-week absence on a Fluval Flex 9 gal tank with several fish and two frogs. Fish and frogs were alive and water was not cloudy, which is much harder to balance with smaller tanks. No flake food should be used as it will clog, but used small fish and frog pellets. Used Blu Tack putty to secure to top since the suction cups were not great on that surface. Food wheel rotates and drops food through trap door. Battery still at 100%. Programable, but would like to have option to select days. Right now you can program for three different times per day as well as adding a certain (3?) number of feeding cycles or drops per each feeding time. Have tried a couple flake feeders in the past that use a rotating barrel and scoop to drop food and can never get amount right for small tank. With this UFO looking model you just need to set up each feeding and let it go. You only get 16 compartments so you need to determine if that will work for you. You can mix food types and deliver in one batch and get once per day for 16, but more complicated feeding will start eating into your compartment numbers.

Some tinkering needed
In my opinion, the Petbank Fish Feeder is a nifty device, especially if you're often away or busy. I was tired of always buying those fishfood cakes that would slowly dissolve in the tank while I was gone for 5-10 days- they left my tank a mess... This is a convenient way to have something to feed your fish automatically when you can't do it yourself (and avoid coming home to that gross mess!). However, I should mention that it might take a bit of trial and error to get it to work just right. Figuring out the right settings for the number of feedings per day and the portion sizes may require some tinkering. Also, it's important to be cautious and keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't overfeed your fish. Once you find the right settings, though, it becomes a helpful tool in taking care of your fish while you're not around.

Pricey but amazing feeder
When you have a betta fish, you can not have a feeder which feeds a whole lot of food, so I looked at many feeders before deciding on this one. What convinced me to take this one, is that you can time the feeding time every 2 days instead of everyday. I went on a holiday with my family for 3 weeks and this feeder had 14 departments, so getting it to feed every 2 days is a great option. My tank also looked quite clean after coming back. In between it was cleaned by my sis in law. Price point is on the higher side, but I think it is worth it when you use it everyday. Battery is also great, still didn’t have to charge and it’s in use for a good 4 weeks.

Very virsatle and exact. The best feeder I ever had.
I have large fish that I feed a specific number of "cookies" about 1/2 inch (13mm) in diameter. This feeder allows me to put in the number of cookies I want to feed and it will dispense exactly that number. Each compartment is one feeding. However, one can set it to feed more than one compartment at a time (up to three.) Also, one can set it to feed up to three times a day. If that's too much, one can set it to feed every day, every second day, third day or fourth day. So it is very versatile and exact. I love the fact that there is a door that opens for feeding and then closes so moisture from the tank does not get to the food. For my particular feeder there were no instructions included but I assume that was a one off. I couldn't find instructions on Google or YouTube but, fortunately, I found them on the Amazon site for the feeder. BTW, the programing procedure is not intuitive so the instruction were quite necessary.Update:I would like to clarify that this review applies to the CY-109 model.Another clarification. I was fooled by the settings for how many days between feeding. Perhaps this was clarfied in the instructions that were missing or perhaps because of my lack of intuition but the number (0 or blank, 1, 2, or 3) represents how many days are SKIPPED. So if, for example, the number is set to 1 that means it will feed every other day. Somehow I thought 1 meant every 1 day or every day. When I went on vacation my fish got fed every other day when I wanted to feed him every day, but he survived just fine.My original rating was 4 stars but I like it so much even with the missing instructions and my misunderstanding, I like this feeder so much I still think it is a five star product.

Very reliable, flake food not great
I’ve been using this for 3 months now on a regular basis and there are some positives and a negative. Positives first, I have only charged this the day I received it and it’s still fully charged after daily use. Insanely good batteries and I don’t worry about it dying when out of town. Second, I love the ability to set 4 different scheduled feeding times. For my tank, feeding 4 times a day is way too much. The bad, I use flake food and if I leave the feeder unattended for 7-10 days I notice mold beginning to grow inside. I don’t understand where all the moisture is coming from but it consistently happens. When it does happen, obviously the food isn’t being dispensed. I may switch to pellets but I assume moisture in the food container will still be a problem.

No notification when it runs a feeding cycle
Our concern is we can't tell that it actually fed the fish unless we observe it cycling. It really needs a chime so we are informed of its cycling. Because of the lack of this feature, we spend time and effort verifying that it actually fed the fish. We also built a small wooden base stand to hold it over an opening in the tank's top glass. I see this will be required for any tank with a top cover and should be included with the feeder.

Haven't used it yet but already....
So it looks okay and seems like it's put together to "last". Had to plug it in to charge before it would turn on so already a little battery life concern but no biggy I can replace later if needed. My biggest problem is if you don't mount it using the clamp style mounting apparatus you have to apply double sided tape directly to the unit. It would have been nice if they would have provided a plastic plate that snaps in place and is flat for the tape to apply to. Would make it a lot easier for cleaning and refilling as well.

Perfect for feeding whilst on a 2 week holiday!
I recently went on holiday for a fortnight, and used this feeder to feed my two fancy goldfish whilst I was gone. I had no one to look after the fish whilst I was away and was very anxious that this would work. I tested it a few weeks before I left and it worked a treat. The battery life is excellent. I noticed that the battery bar went down one bar in around 3 weeks which impressive. You can set it to feed 1-3 times per day at whatever times you want. It is simple to operate. The food also stays dry. I used an array of pellets and nothing got wet or stuck. The feeder is clamped on to the side of the tank but be sure not to clamp too hard as it may leave a an impression as it did with mine, but other than that I would say this is money well spent and I will be able to go away worry free in future.
