I bought this to replace the fixing kit on a bathroom sink tap after the original fixing washer had completely rusted away. This kit turned out to be exactly what I needed.It arrived the very next day and included everything required – rubber washers, a sturdy metal horseshoe plate, and two threaded rods. The biggest challenge wasn’t fitting the new kit, it was persuading the old rusty rods to leave after years of making themselves at home! Once they were finally out, the new threaded rods screwed in easily, the plate fitted perfectly, and tightening everything up was quick and straightforward.A nice bonus is that the fixing plate is a decent thickness (around 3/4mm), so it doesn’t bend or buckle when you tighten it, unlike some thinner ones I’ve used before.A simple, well-made kit that did exactly what it was supposed to. Knocks the usual supplied ones way out the ball park. Nice thick shoe clamp that does not bend in use. Thanks for a quality item over the standard ones usually supplied by some manufacturers.I would replace standard ones with these from new here on in.
