Works fine, but size description is off.
This is a grooming muzzle, not a total-bite prevention muzzle. It goes behind the dogs ears instead of around the neck. I may sew on a small piece of webbing to the under-chin portion to put around the neck, as any intelligent dog can slip this off with one good paw-swipe. That said, you should introduce a muzzle to your dog slowly, over a period of days, and if you do it correctly you shouldn't have a problem.I debated what size to order---this one was ordered for a 50lb Springer, who measures 8.5 inches around the end of his muzzle by his nose, as per the instructions. I went ahead and purchased this one, thinking too big was better than too small. I have to tighten the head strap as tight as it will go, and significantly decrease the muzzle circumference setting as well or it just hangs off him. It is also too large at the rear of the muzzle near the neck, but that's not too much of a big deal. I knew he wasn't an XL dog, but the instructions say to measure the muzzle. It would probably fit my 66lb Golden Retriever perfectly.

seems to be of good quality
This is probably the 4th muzzle I have had for our pup. She is a great pyrenees / german shepherd mix and we are training her with goats. The bad thing is, she is young and likes to mouth things, like our baby goats. The muzzle affords her the opportunity to live with the goats, but not be tempted to play with them too hard while she is in training. This large muzzle fits her. She is a 6 to 7 month old puppy with a large snout. The other muzzles, she either outgrew, or chewed through (somehow), or they just broke. I am hoping this one lasts a bit longer than the last ones. We do not live in close proximity to a PetSmart or the like, so I needed to seek out a the muzzle here on Amazon. I found this one to be of like quality and value as one I could find at the box stores. The neck and also the muzzle are separately adjustable so it give you a little bit of play as to size. That is really nice. Will update if something goes amiss with this muzzle.

Ease the savage beast
I bought this with the idea specially to be able to clip by Beagle's nails. I had bought a professional clipper on Amazon and was eager to use it (not those awlful guillotine types that crush the nail and cause pain) more of a rouneded head scissors/pliers type clippers. However my dog resisted me in every way and would almost bite at my hand to get away from the clippers. After placing this muzzle on--so easy to apply thanks to the Velcro fastener--she calmed down and allowed me to trim her nails. When they don't have their mouths to use as resistence it is so much easier. Not one bleeding nail either. Saved a lot from grooming charges, too. The most important thing is to get the right size. The first one I got was this one pictured, a medium, but in fact it was too big for my dog. The seller gladly exchanged it for a small muzzle that didn't slip off the head and snout when used. It's difficult to buy the right size from either a photo or suggested breeds. A medium was recommended for my Beagle, but she has a smaller snout as she's smaller than most Beagles (a rescue dog!). This muzzle is so light weight and the dog can breath so easily. She didn't fight it at all. I'm sure it would work for walking an aggressive dog, too. As I said I bought it for nail grooming.

Bigger than says
I have a rescue Chihuahua who is fear aggressive at the vets office (she had a few surgeries to repair her hip after she was hit by a car and just left to die in the road before I adopted her). But I hated having to stress her out more with everything taking longer because of the techs needing to go out - get the muzzle - come back - fight her to put it on - give up - make me do it - then take her in back (they said it's less stressful away from the owners - I've called BS) and then have her some back and become even more afraid. I thought I would eliminate a few steps and just put the muzzle on her myself before they took her. We ended up back at the vets office a few days after our last visit because her eye was irritating her - the muzzle had been to big even when it was as small as it could go and had scratched the surface of her eye causing irritation ( I pre measured her before purchasing and she was just under 5.25 inches around the muzzle). Unless you have a large dog (it fit perfectly on my 60lb lab/dane mix) have your vet size your dog up and order one - its cheaper and it will be right without you having to guess the size.

Not actually size appropriate for large dogs.
I bought this muzzle in the x-large size to be able to clip my older Rotty's nails. I recommend trimming your dogs nails right from the start of "puppyhood." I made the mistake of leaving the nails out of her bathing routine and now have to really fight with her to get her nails done. In order to achieve making her more comfortable with her feet I had to purchase a muzzle. The x-large has to be adjusted around her head and it pulls the muzzle part way up by her eyes. If the muzzle is not tight she has it off in no time flat. I am keeping the product because I only use it every so often. I think she'd of been better off with a heavier product. Hard to say because all dogs are not built the same.

well it works
my dane likes to bite and nothing we do makes her stop. Actually think its from her dog mom trying to kill her made her crack her skull in the ft of her head. But we are trying. It stays on easy to tighten and get to the rigbt size. My dane is now 10 months and it still fits I think amazon said before I started this that I ordered a small.. I did get it many months ago.

Order down a size for smaller dogs
I ordered the small as suggested by the description for my Beagle, it's still a little too big for her snout. The product seems well made, it is adjustable which is nice but she can still get out of it using her paw. I bought this with the intention of only using it for when I clip her nails. I think if I would have ordered a size down it would have worked perfectly fine.

Muzzle for my yorkie
Delivered very quick even though it came from US. Good value for money. Didn't want to use a muzzle on my yorkie but when he is on a walk he is scaring kids who are walking passed us cause of his constant yapping. It must be comfy cause he is happy to have it on. It seems it will do the job. Just want him to get used to people!

COMFORTABLE + PRACTICAL!
I'VE USED THIS EVERY TIME I'VE TAKEN MY DOG OUT FOR A WALK.IT'S VERY EASY TO PUT ON / TAKE OFF + MUST BE COMFORTABLE AS MY DOG DOESN'T TRY TO TAKE IT OFF! THIS IS ALSO "REASSURUNG" TO OTHER PEOPLE THAT MY ANIMAL DOESN'T "POSE A THREAT". IT STILL ALLOWS EASY ACCESS FOR DOG TO "DRINK / BREATHE + PANT" ~ COULDN'T RECOMMEND IT ENOUGH! 10/10 !

Not at all what I ordered
The item came in and it’s NOT AT ALL what I ordered. Doesn’t even look anything like the picture. It’s actually has a small tag that says “for large CAT!!” Worse order I’ve made. I would give it 0 if I could. SO upset
