Super little light fitting.
I've used this as a foot of the stairs light. Fitted with a 3 watt LED bulb it gives plenty of light and is economical. Easily painted to match the wall it's fixed to.

up and down light fitting.
The description (planter) and the photos of the light on suggested that this fitting would have a base and therefore be an uplighter. It is effectively a "D" shape with the bulb visible from above and below. It is not suitable for siting above eye level if you don't want to see the bulb or have light shining below.Apart from that it is as described.

Just what we were looking for.
Cheap, flaky , but it does the job it says it would and it was not easy to find a ceramic light fitting like this that would be appropriate for an older ( no earth wire ) fitting.
