The Doghouse (The Giggle Gang)

My 2.5 year old loves this book. We have so many to choose from and he will chose this one over and over again every time. We have fun reading it together. He loves it so much, he has each page memorized from me reading it to him.

The story made my kids laugh. Add silly voices to all the characters and this book will be a big hit for your younger kids. My kids (2 & 3) love books that are short and to the point, so they can read the book back to me (in correlation to the pictures). Great for animal loving kids. The art in the book is unique and fun.

I don’t know what it is about this book but my daughter has us read this about 100 times a day!

My daughter's favorite book (she's 20 months). She has me read it several times a day and even tries to read it herself, making a face and yelling "Stinky!" at Pig and "Oh no! Come back!" when someone doesn't come out of the dog house. From the first read she has laughed the whole way through, especially when Dog tells Mouse he's having Duck for dinner. She really gets the joke which is amazing. I also find this to be the least annoying book to read over and over again since there's a story, it's not long, and it's got a twist which is something few books for this age have. I've bought other Jan Thomas books since she loves this one but she still just wants to read this one. Highly recommend.

I have 3 grandsons, 2-3 years old. They absolutely love this book, especially when read with a bit of drama. My 2 year old twin grandsons were introduced to The Doghouse when they came to visit and discovered that it was their 3 year old cousin's favorite book. So I bought one to take to their house. In one three day weekend grandma and grandpa probably read this book 50 times. We'd finish and they'd say "again," over and over again until we gave out. Of course they had it memorized before the weekend was out and then I could just turn the pages and let them "read" it. All three boys love books, but this one has really engaged their imagination and they cannot get enough of it.

My daughter received this in her Prime book box and it has quickly become a favorite - for all of us! We all take turns reading it aloud and laugh just as hard each time we read it as we did the first time! Such a fun book for the family to share!

This Jan Thomas book like many others from it's series is basically a joke spread out on a book. It is appropriate for young children, but probably not a substitute for a real book. We found that kids definitely enjoy the jokes and can even learn to recite them, which is great. But overall as a parent, it is a bit shallow to make buying more than one or two of these what we want to do.

Those little books is perfect for my grandson! He is 1.5 yr old, and this book is just right for his little hands. The story is entertaining for him, and he can’t hurt the book! Absolutely perfect to get him started on a lifetime of reading.

Great kids book

One of my toddler’s favorite books. We read it at least once a day and she has memorized a lot of it.

Cute book! My 2 year old daughter loves the humour and the illustrations. It arrived from Amazon promptly but I was disappointed that the pages inside were "wavy".....almost like they had been wet and then dried. I kept the book anyways as my daughter was excited to read it.

My niece LOVES the book, and it arrived sooner than expected!
