You can tell these are cheaply made but they are good for the price and include all you would need to make them. They came out looking nice.

Unfortunately my kit did not have the needles, scissors or needle threaded included. Luckily I already have these things from a different kit, different seller. I am pleased with the patterns this kit came with.

This set would be a good gift for someone who already has an interest in embroidery and knows the satin stitch. It comes with 5 cloths with washable patterns (the patterns are in a blue ink that comes off with water), which work well with the plastic rings. If you have your project in a wooden ring then it's trickier to wash the pattern off when you're done with the project without damaging the ring. With the plastic ring you can easily wash the blue ink off. These are simple-looking designs that take only one or a few colors to complete, so they might not be interesting enough to capture the enthusiasm of a beginner. Some of the designs, like the one I started in the photo, involve satin stitch between narrow borders. They look simple but will take some practice to execute the designs the way the instructions say to. The carrying case is quite handy because it is shaped like the embroidery hoops and so it would be convenient to store in a bag or backpack without losing the needles or tiny scissors.
