I purchased for use on a couple of recipes.I've never knowingly tasted these before so I can't tell you that these are the 'best' nigella seeds or the 'worst'. But (when broken up while chewed) they have nice nutty-oregano-black-peppery (with a touch of) onion flavor.From Türkiye.According to the Spruce Eats, they are *not* cumin or black cumin seeds. From description, I believe these are Nigella seeds, used for some African, Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines. So buyer beware.People make all kinds of crazy claims about the health benefits of these seeds (not unlike any other "natural" product. Meh.If these get completely consumed, I'll probably buy them again. It was a good price!

Just what I needed, arrived all well, tastes like what I expected it to. Great on some flatbread!

I tend to use ground cumin far more often.Based upon my limited usage I did not note much of a difference in flavor when compared to “normal” cumin seed.These seem fresh enough but, as always, these are a dried spice and therefore not exactly fresh.

Just what I expected!

Arrived with lid open. No safety seal of any kind meant the seeds went all over the shipping box.

Amazon now ships small items in bags which offer no protection and can render products unusable.

I haven't used it yet I did try a taste love it.
