I used these to single handily install a range hood. Worked perfectly for holding the hood in the exact spot where I needed to mount it. I could not have done it alone without these. Next I’m fixing my fireplace damper and will use these to hold it in place while I repair the mounting and handle. These things are sturdy and adjustable, be careful not to pinch yourself. Read the directions. You can snug them up by turning or twisting the middle of the bar, each end is threaded opposite of the others so if you twist or rotate the bar each end moves out or in at the same time if both ends are making contact, depending on how you rotate it. So after you snug it in place you can make slight adjustments you only need one hand because the other hand is probably already being used. Make sure you know which way to turn it to expand the ends because you don’t want to be loosening when you want to be tightening, and vice versa. Also you need to understand the locking mechanism and the release button.

I have two Vespa scooters. Unfortunatley, it is so windy where I live, they were blown over twice last year (scooter covers acting like sails). I DIY'd two basic "kick stands" but with this last storm, I decided to up my game.Found these and decided to try them out. GREAT price, GREAT quality build. They are perfect for this application.

Haven't used yet, extension is just enough for the kitchen cabinets which is why I bought them. Should be perfect.
