High sampling frequency & calibrable sensors that accurately measure to -20°F
Okay guys...I manage regrigeration equipment for over a dozen stores and have tried MANY different systems over the years. I've used a lot of my customer's money trying to find something that really works. I found the X- Sense system. Don't be rattled by the cheap price, don't be deterred because the sensors require a hub to communicate with Wifi. Do be impressed by the accuracy of the system and the ability to customize it to your exact needs. I'm telling you! I've tried systems made by what I perceived to be 'flagship brands' and followed some well intended advice of several other HVACR friends & associates. Nothing fit quite right. If you understand the importance of sampling frequency and value the ability to do in depth trend analysis of your refrigeration equipment - put your eyes on X-Sense. Ironically, the X-Sense products are extremely low priced when compared to any telemetry systems I've implemented over the years. I've even built my own telemetry for refrigeration using ESP32 modules and DHT22 sensors...and they were supremely accurate. However, my time is too valuable to be reinventing the wheel. The X-Sense software, hub & sensors do everything I need and provide permanent records over time of every temperature I need to monitor. Note that these products are not sold as 'industrial level' gauges, nor will the sensor units survive immersion in liquids or being crushed beneath pallets or by 80# boxes of frozen meat. These systems are meant to be used with common sense and a realistic expectation of how physically tough you expect a $14 sensor to be. I have not broken one yet but have had several of them stolen. Luckily they are inexpensive. I do keep 10 extra temperature/humidity sensors on hand at all times, as I do manage inventory that is valued in the eight digit range. Yes, you can trust these devices for your customer's expensive inventory. I do and I have for the past 3 years without difficulty or loss of product. Alarms: Yes, the hub has very audible alarms and be configured to play a different sound or 'ringtone' for each sensor - the employees quickly learned which bulk freezer corresponds to which alarm. The dashboard (see attached screenshot) is easy to configure and simple to read, even for a person whose forte is not refrigeration. I keep a tablet running in the manager's office with the X-Sense app running at all times. It's very intuitive and easy to read by anyone. For remote alarms? Yes, this system will definitely text you. It will wake you up at night. You will know exactly what time that the condition you've set an alarm range for went out of boundaries. This system will save you money and will enable you to coordinate maintenance on equipment - as trends on the graphs and numerical matrices (also exportable as .xls/spreadsheet files) obviate the slightest deviations from normal day-to-day operation of the equipment you monitor. Not just for the factory, grocery store or processing house, these are X-Sense systems are a home run for home uses too. I use an X-Sense system in both of our houses as well as in the facilities I manage. Note about batteries: Alkaline batteries do very poorly below 10° F...do the smart thing and purchase a bulk pack of lithium (not rechargeable) batteries, as they are designed to perform in temperatures as low as -40° F and also have a typical 10 year shelf life. Try it out at home firstly if you think these systems aren't good enough for your commercial needs. Beleive me - you'll purchase them again & again. X-Sense makes a very solid product.

Excellent product
Installed seven of these units at the end of October last year. I needed to monitor the temperature inside the house while away during the worst part of winter when the temperatures dipped down to 9F. All units performed flawlessly even though some were three floors below the base station and roughly 50’ away with floors and walls in between. Unlike similar products from competitors these were always on line and reporting the temperatures at their locations. These units also have the ability to set alarms to let you know immediately on your phone of temperatures falling below or going above your set points. Everything worked flawlessly. This was certainly a good investment, speaking of which, the price is very reasonable.

Remotely and reliably monitor temperature and humidity
This is a great product for remotely monitoring temperature and humidity. It works exceptionally well, is a breeze to setup. The app supports multiple base stations as well so you can have multiple locations if necessary. For me, I have 2 base stations — one that I use to monitor my barn, farm office, and greenhouse, and the other that monitors my beehives — I place the sensors inside the hives. I do wish the thermo hygrometer sensors were a bit smaller, like Govees, but other than that have zero complaints. Battery life is very good. App performance is excellent and can easily view timeline trends per sensor by day, week, etc. A trend line report that would show all of a base stations connected sensors would be nice but there isn’t one currently. I have not tried any of X-Senses other sensors or safety / smoke detectors but if I had a need wouldn’t hesitate to add them to my systems.

I continue to be impressed by these X-Sense products.
This temperature sensor solved a problem for me that I've been struggling with for a very long time. I have a tuck-under garage, which has a bathroom on top of it. That means it has plumbing that runs through the garage. I also live in Minnesota, where the temperatures can drop to extremely low levels. Although I have heat vents in my garage, they are not fully open since the garage does not need to be heated to the same temperature as the rest of the house. This was kind of a pain to deal with, and twice since 2007, I've had to deal with burst pipes because of it. Well, now that I have this temperature sensor, I think those burst pipes will be a thing of the past. I can set a low temperature warning, and be notified if my garage goes below that temperature and heat my garage before the pipes burst. I also have several X-Sense water leak sensors in my basement, and this temperature sensor is compatible with the same base that the water leak sensors use. I found the app very easy to use, and the instructions for setting up the sensors to be very easy to understand. When the heat sensor detects a lower temperature than you've set in the app, it plays an "alarm" sound (it plays a tune, and not like an ear-piercing tone) on the base and sends you an alert on your phone. If I have any complaint, it's that the alarm doesn't seem to repeat. It only happens once, so you might miss the sound and not see the alert for some time. I'm not sure if there's any way in the app to change this, but it might be a feature they could add in the future.

Great solution to monitor the RV
I got this to monitor temperature in my RV. I have several other X-Sense products in the RV.I like that I can monitor it from one app and set alerts for when I’m away from the RV. This is a much more cost-effective solution to those expensive subscription services. Work it works perfectly.

Low Number of Hygrometers Supported
Update 7/9/26: I heard back from their customer service and they confirmed the 10 hygrometer/thermometer limit. It was also listed in the post details, but I failed to see that. The only work around is to buy additional base stations and set them up as an additional “home” in the app. This doesn’t sound like a very user friendly interface so I’m going to look elsewhere. The frustrating part is that when you buy the bundle, you essentially get the base station for free. Had I known this limitation, I would’ve bought a different product, or bought more of the bundles rather than individual sensors. There are a couple Govee options that I will try next. Pros: The STH0B Smart Thermometer Hygrometer seems to be reasonably accurate. The size is very nice. It’s a lot smaller than other units is looked at. It is very easy to connect more modules to the base station. Cons: You need a base station to use the STH0B units. Although, at this price point, that seems reasonable to me. The app limits you to a maximum of 10 thermometer/hygrometers. The website says the base station supports up to 50 devices, but it doesn’t indicate that only 10 of those devices can be thermometer/hygrometers. I specifically bought these to check the humidity in 20 different storage containers. And now it’s too late to return the base station and first batch of sensors. I will update the review if I find out they are able to resolve this issue. But at the moment, this seems like false advertising to me.

Good for my use with one caveat.
I have six of these monitoring my fridges and freezers, both for personal use and my chicken business. The only issue is that while they record under -4 degrees, the app only lets me set an alarm at -4, so unless I adjust the freezer, the alarm is constantly going off.

Excellent little temp and humidity monitoring in a compact unit that's easy to put wherever needed
SO GLAD we got this for our toddler's room! We found out the humidity level was far too low and were able to adjust our home humidity control on our furnace to get it to the right level. Highly recommend this device, which connects seamlessly to the base station we already had for our smoke & CO2 detectors. Super easy installation and so far haven't had to worry about batteries for 3-4 months now. Once we get some more use out of it, I can speak to the longevity of the batteries, but so far so good! Very nice size, fits perfectly on top of a tall cabinet so it's discreet and safe from little hands. I like the accuracy and alerts you can set up through the app, with easy to read charts and records of humidity and temperature. I'll likely get a few more of these to monitor other parts of the house. Important to note: this device MUST connect to a base station, so it is not travel friendly at all. Had to buy a different little device to bring with me on my frequent work trips.

Leer bien la descripcion
Este dispositivo solo funciona con una base que no se vende en Amazon México. Por tal motivo les recomiendo no lo compren a menos que ya la tengan. De lo contrario solo es un gasto innecesario
