Great book about boxing
I recently decided that I wanted to learn boxing and this book has been great. I knew basically nothing before reading this, but now I feel that I have a good understanding of the basic punches footwork and everything else involved. Now I just need to apply what I have learned. Great Read
This comprehensive guide, encompassing both parts, serves as an invaluable asset for anyone embarking on their boxing journey. As a novice in the realm of boxing, I found this book to be extremely informative and beneficial. Its coverage of the fundamentals is exhaustive, leaving no stone unturned in its quest to educate the reader about the intricacies of the sport. While I concur with some fellow readers that the inclusion of more graphic illustrations would enhance understanding, it's important to note that this minor shortfall does not detract from the overall value of the book. The author's vivid descriptions are mostly sufficient to paint a clear picture in the reader's mind. The book's strength lies in its ability to cater to athletes who are stepping into the boxing ring for the first time. The author breaks down complex techniques into simple, digestible segments, allowing beginners to grasp the principles of boxing without feeling overwhelmed. The book is well-structured, logical, and methodical in its approach. It systematically covers all the basics, from stance and footwork to defensive techniques and punch combinations. The content is presented in a concise and easy-to-understand language, making it accessible to everyone, regardless of their prior knowledge or experience in boxing. This book is a commendable piece of work. It has been meticulously crafted with the beginner boxer in mind, providing a thorough grounding in the sport's basic elements. Despite the desire for more illustrative content, it remains a highly effective resource for any beginner boxer. Its comprehensive coverage of the basics and straightforward explanations make it a job well done.

Good starting guide for improving boxing fundamentals
This is a good starting guide for anyone interested in improving their boxing fundamentals. It covers a range of concepts for boxing novices and things to keep in mind as well as tips and advice. I agree with some of the comments saying that it could have used more illustrations and photos, or even better links to videos. Nothing beats a visual to show how to do the poses and moves properly.

Crackin' guide teaching the basics
We picked our boxing classes back up in time for the new year, and this has been a great addition. Very solid on teaching the basics. How to master footwork etc before advancing to more complicated techniques. Overall very good.
