Would this work in abs plastic?

ABSolutely! Always prepare the surface by sanding it lightly and thoroughly, then wash the surface with a degreaser like Simple Green or DAWN dish washing liquid or a citrus-based degreaser, rinse it well and let it dry completely, then paint.

Did anyone give their project the abrasion test after using the primer? Did the paint scratch off easily, or does it resist wear?

I didn't give it the abrasion test but it's been pretty great for my projects, I've primed plastic nerf guns, foam board, casting resin, I haven't had any problems at all with it.
