I love open-ended toys that can be used in several imaginative and creative ways, and this set fits the bill. It is sturdy, colorful, and well-made. It’s great for balancing, building, and imaginative play.

The true test of quality is in an attention to details and this block set really, REALLY showcases that. The bright colors and friendly faces of the animals quickly draw a toddler's attention and the chunky wooden blocks have the perfect amount of substance for smaller hands. The inclusion of a diagram in the box not only to aid putting the pieces away correctly, but as an added game is genius, a perfect way to end a session of play in a manner that makes it that much easier/quicker to store. The pieces are a little slick, something that might fade with time, making stacking that much trickier for better or worse - it definitely takes some patience and skill to get beyond 3 pieces tall and we haven't even gotten to the balancing beam yet. I could see a child abandoning and returning to this task, ramping up the challenge as their eye hand coordination and motor skills increase. The aesthetic qualities really vibe with my sensibilities (this aspect is probably more for the adults than the children - I can see this truly delighting not only the child but the parents if given as a thoughtfully cute gift), from the details on the animals to the storage bag, printed with an adorable owl pattern. Everything about this set screams quality, it is a purchase well made.

Bought these as a gift for our one-year-old nephew. He loved them and they were a great gift.

Your child can learn to balance the animals or just play with each animal individually. The pieces are colorful and just the right size for your child to hold. As your child plays they will learn colors, animals names as well as the art of balancing.

I didn’t expect too much from this toy when I got it. Honestly, it’s taken me months to get to review this because I wanted to wait until my child was older to give it a shot.This product was pretty sturdy, and the quality was very good. I found myself wanting to test the balance out and stack it myself while my child was napping. It is packed very well, almost like a puzzle, with a diagram in the box on how to pack it up again. If you don’t want to pack it in the box it has a neat little bag to put the blocks in and synch it up.I could see this being good for teaching children the animals, and also about problem solving with the stacking or the packing.

Our 2yo daughter has played with stacking animals in so many ways.The only concern we have is the durability, our daughter likes to put everything in her mouth and crocodile came already chipped. So keep that in mind, not a deal breaker for us, we just keep redirecting our daughter to not put them in her mouth.The animals are cute, accurate, vibrant, made of wood, no chemical smell and a great teaching tool for eye coordination and teaching how to focus. The seesaw is fun bonus but hard for our daughter to do at the moment. This also comes with a board to fit the cut animals, that is a fun bonus activity as well.Overall our daughter loves these animals, the smallest piece could be a choking hazard.We think this would make a great gift for a little one.

This toy is very cute, unique and fun for my toddler. He couldn't use it at 2 but I recommend for more like 2.5. Maybe 2 if they are mature not to just play with the animals and actually use it for their intended balancing game instead. The colors are rich and vibrant and the quality has true craftsmanship. This makes for a great gift for a toddler especially over 3. It comes with a bag to keep all the toys in. (Good luck with that though). The animals are adorable and fun.

These are cute little animals, and I love the concept. I also like that they come with a drawstring bag. Even though the box has an insert in the bottom to use like a puzzle for getting the pieces back in the box, I tossed it and kept just the bag.My real challenge is that I can hardly get these to stack. They just don't hook on each other as well as I expected (not deep enough areas to catch). So it could be frustrating for a small child. There is no way I could get them to stack like the picture!Despite the issue with stacking in a total grouping, they can stack in smaller groupings, and it's good for imaginative play with the animals. The smooth edges do keep a child safer, so that's the challenge: smooth for safety equals too smooth to stack.They are nice for a gift!
