BASE CAMP Adult Bike Helmet, Men & Women Bike Helmet with Removable Visor for Urban Commuter Adjustable M Size

I’ve been using this helmet as part of my commute to/from work for 2 years on an electric bike.It’s light, air passes easily so not too hot, has a great minimal look. The back adjustment is easy to use & change on the fly- esp depending on how my hairstyle is that day or if I need extra space to fit my rain hood as well. It’s more of a matte white vs flossy finish. It does come with a Velcro mini visor but I can’t really say that it sticks out enough to effectively block any sun/rain but I enjoy it nonetheless.My helmet sometimes stays outside during my shift and get rained on… so decals did come off, and it didn’t stay crisp white either (you can compare new to my 2yo one). I also added a reflector decal to the back.But I actually got to ‘test’ it this last week while riding in the wet. My tire started to slip and I overcorrected the opposite direction, crashing on my left side. I ended up with an elbow fracture and some bruises… but what I remember MOST is the sound of my head SLAMMING into the asphalt when I landed, hitting so hard it bounced back up and down again. It wasn’t til I got home that I saw the helmet damage.I likely would’ve had a concussion, stitches, and an overnight stay in the hospital had I not been wearing this helmet! Not sure if another brand would’ve faired better, but it passed the test for me and I’ve just bought a second one to replace the first!

I am very pleased with my purchase. This is a quality helmet and it breathes relatively well. I would definitely buy this again.However, the manufacturer needs to add a brief instruction card for how to install the removable visor. It's not hard to do but a couple of sketches or pictures would make the process clearer for some customers.

I'm back out riding a bike after 10 years. I bought an e-bike so that I could get out more with my bad knees and hips. I shopped a lot for helmets while I waited a month for my bike. I decided on the Base Camp because of its reviews, price, and availability. I really wanted a Nut Case but they are hard to come by and I was told that they can get rather hot.When I opened the package I was surprised how lightweight it was. I was a little disappointed that the color was not glassy like I thought it might be but that was OK. I also liked that the padding could be taken out and washed, that it is easily adjustable, AND that there was a bill (bill part of a baseball cap).Yesterday I went for a ride but I needed to make some adjustments to the handlebars and the seat first. I had the helmet on in 90-degree weather and was sweating like crazy. I was getting annoyed and frustrated. I took the helmet off while I finished my adjustments and then I put back on my helmet and started to ride. Just a few rotations of my pedals and my head immediately cooled down and I was extremely happy. Sadly, I had to stop a few times into my ride to continue making adjustments on the bike and I started to sweat quickly.Overall, I really like the Base Camp and would recommend it. It makes riding my bike COOL.

I'm not a fan of Helmets but understand their need. I don't like to wear one but when biking with friends they mention it all the time. So I got this mostly for the price. It adjusts and snugs up with a knob in the back that tightens it to your head. I might add a bit more padding in the top. The visor is attached by removing the forehead padding and replacing it with the visor that is basically forehead padding with an attached visor. I won't use the visor as I already have a comfortable one that fits under a helmet. I have not yet ridden with this helmet on as it's been raining since I got it. But I mostly ride on bike trails and do very little road riding so I think it will serve the purpose. It is light weight.

I was a little wary of only having a one size fits all helmet. After unpacking, the helmet was in perfect condition with more than adequate packing material. My noggin is towards the larger end of the product spectrum, but was well within its parameters. First thing I did was loosen the knob all the way, put the helmet on,, then tightened the knob until it was comfortable. I kept noticing some kind of pinching, so I remove the last hoop velcro pieces above both ears and removed traces of the adhesive. This did the trick and the helmet is a perfect fit. Quality overall was a 4 as I had to superglue one of the retaining notches for the knobbed head carriage. The visor attachment was a plus, although QC needs to make sure the bill is not warped. The internal sweat attachments worked to add comfort and soak up that exercise moisture. Good value, good product, this size actually fit this noggin without looking like I'm wearing a rice cooker on my head.

This is a great helmet worth the money for sure. I fell off my E-scooter going 20 mph and landed face-first on the road and I am 100% sure if it weren't for the helmet I wouldn't be sitting here typing this. the helmet got minorly scratched but it's still good for use even after the crash. This is a lifesaver and I couldn't recommend it enough.

This helmet is really nice. I love the look of it, it's really comfortable. Your head doesn't get terribly hot as the vents actually work well, at first glance you might think this wouldn't have very good airflow but this isn't the case. Surprisingly the brim is actually really nice to have, I never would have expected it to be as functional as it is because at first I thought it was just for looks and wouldn't really help much. I'm a 6'1" tall guy and it fits my grape with room to spare and has lots of adjustability. I definitely recommend this helmet, buy it.Only complaint is that I got the white one and it stains easily, and it is difficult to clean them off fully.

El casco llegó súper raspado. Estaba envuelto en una bolsa de plástico burbuja y, a su vez, en una especie de morral plástico (también muy maltratado).La caja estaba perfecta, por lo que pienso que estaba dañado desde que lo empacaron... Es una lástima porque está lindísimo el modelo y me encantó el color.Ya inicié la devolución :/
