I have used various forms of these jars for many years. They are fantastic for everyday use and outstanding for canning. It is important to remember to pull the ring to break a canning seal. It does take a little getting used to the clips; however, I have yet to experience a failed seal from this system unlike traditional American canning methods. If you opt to freeze liquid or solids in glass, please use straight sided jars, not these, with wide mouths to avoid problems with expansion. I made this mistake by trying to freeze water as an experiment in the liter size juice jars which broke in the freezer. The straight sides worked beautifully.

We used these bottles for our margarita mixed juices. The bottle cap is annoying to put back, but it worked out for us.
