I love the cane so much., but there have been complaints about the light not staying lit. I've read where people attempted to stretch the spring that's inside the cap where the batteries are kept. That didn't work so well for me. It seemed like it was a temporary fix and the spring would be compressed again which would cause the lights to go out with every step you took. My solution which has worked perfectly is to fold up a piece of tin foil and press it down into the cap. I've tried this method about a month ago and it's still works like a charm. Now the lights are always on for every step I take. When you walk with the cane and it touches the ground the light would always shut off. Not anymore you just need to put the right amount of foil into the cap so you are able to screw it back on. Best of luck! It's certainly worked for me.

Fantastic with all the gaskets lights the lot

As a cane it works just fine, just don’t buy for the light. The light works fine and is very durable-I found this out by all the times it tipped over. You see, once you put the 2 AA batteries in it becomes almost impossible to stand up without tipping over. Chances are if you need a cane you’re not in any condition to be picking it up off the ground over and over.

The lights on it are nice and bright for walking in the dark.
