High-Output Power in a Compact Frame
If you're looking for an amplifier that punches well above its weight class without breaking the bank, the Recoil DI1200-4 is a standout choice. It’s a high-efficiency Class-D powerhouse that delivers impressive output while maintaining a small enough footprint to fit under a seat or in a tight trunk. Performance: The power delivery is clean and consistent. It’s rated for 150W x 4 at 4-Ohms, and it actually hits those numbers, providing plenty of headroom for high-end components. Because it’s Class-D, it runs remarkably cool even during long, loud sessions, putting less stress on your vehicle's charging system. Build & Features: Compact Design: Small chassis, but feels heavy-duty and well-built. Versatile Tuning: The adjustable High-Pass and Low-Pass filters make it easy to dial in your mids or even bridge it to run a couple of subwoofers. Clean Signal: As long as you set your gains correctly, the sound is crisp and dynamic. Pros: Incredible wattage-per-dollar value. Very small form factor for the amount of power it produces. Reliable thermal management (doesn't easily overheat). Cons: The terminal blocks are a bit tight if you're using heavy-gauge wire. Industrial, no-frills look (if aesthetics are your main priority). Final Verdict: The DI1200-4 is a beast for anyone building a high-power system on a budget. It provides the muscle needed for a loud, clear soundstage without the "big brand" price tag. Just be sure to use a quality 4-gauge OFC wiring kit to give it the current it needs!

Great amp, used in multiple installs with zero issue, great value
Absolutely love these amps. I’ve bought 6 various recoil amps, and been impressed with all of them. The size, power, price, is unbeatable. The 1200.4 has more than enough power to run a set of components off 2 channels, and a healthy 12 or pair of 10’s bridged off the rear channels. Would be the cherry on top if it had remote knob for the rear channels, but I’ve been using a cheap inline rca knob to give sub control. No failures, played for hours. Will buy again for the next project.

Recoil is where it's at
While this amp is screw type speaker signal inputs it is one of the best and loudest amps I've ever had in my vehicle. It never gets hot and consistently supplies the power required to push my component setup. It has blown away my old amp without any question. Much louder and crystal clear. My previous amp was a 4 channel ab amp and this class dnis killing it! Way more efficiency and multiple tests putting Recoil ahead of several other best selling amps on the market. They price their equipment fairly and they do not gouge their customers for profits. I appreciate companies like Recoil and have been supporting their brand since I reentered car audio because they have sexy amps and just work.

Good Power, Slight Buzz
This amp delivers power but, unfortunately, it also introduces noise. That is a deal breaker for me but I understand that some people may not mind the buzz through the speakers like I do. I experimented with a budget Class D amp for my doors and I was left disappointed. I am not an audiophile. I just like loud, clean, crisp music through my speakers

Too much noise (edited 02/20/24)
Powerhouse for sure but that’s all it is! Was hoping for a compact high horsepower beast but you can’t have it all for hundred bucks! Way too much line noise just idling while the amp is powered on with no music playing and there was no shortage of alternator whine…..pass on this amp Edit: February 2024. This amp rocks! Get it while you can before the prices Sky rocket. Please disregard my initial review,I hope you can forgive me recoil as I’m the idiot not y’all 😅. I kept hearing good things about the recoil di800.4 & di1200.4 but I was disappointed in my first attempt of hooking this amplifier up. So I revisited the subject and purchased the 800.4 this time and had much better results! And heres why, so when I made my first review on the 1200.4 model which i highly regret returning, two things were wrong at the time, one my rca wires had been installed backwards meaning they are directional rca cables and I had the source side plugged into the amps when it should have been connected at the headunit. The second mistake made during my initial testing with these recoil amps was the type of connection being used! This is the most important step not to be overlooked guys!!! Even though I had hooked up my directional rca cables backwards that still wasn’t the cause of all the noise, it had little effect and improved slightly in noise once I had the RCA’s going in the correct direction. The rca interconnects I was using at the time that were giving me trouble was the Stinger 8000 series rca cables. The stinger rca is the wrong type of cables to be using with this type of amplifier because the stinger is a twisted pair style connection which is good when paired up with say a JL audio amplifier that has “balanced rca inputs”, however, this recoil amp requires a single ended type of rca connection or coaxial type cables which is more commonly used in stupid recording settings! Get yourself a nice guitar microphone cables and watch how silent the input noise will be and you will have an epiphany like I did lol. I hope this helps a lot of guys experiencing whine engine noise! Oddly enough I thought there was no way in heck my rca could have been the problem from the getgo but it turns out I was indeed wrong and I spent nearly $80 on those stinger interconnects last year thinking I’ll buy the expensive stuff once and never have to look back, and oh was I wrong. You can get a better understanding and explanation of this concept by Tony damore on YouTube, search for something like rca balanced inputs and you can find a few videos explaining and teach you how you check your equipment and what cable type is needed based on the amp you have on the bench good luck

Sounded good at lower powers. Blew a subwoofer and then a 6.5" Speaker in separate instances
I had a really positive first impressions of this speaker. However, recently, while listening pretty loudly, but without any distortion in my subwoofer, it blew a voice coil. This was disappointing, but a just thought the issue had to do with me going too hard (even though the subwoofer was rated for more RMS watts than the amplifier was rated at). Then just today I was playing with amplifier gain settings. Again I was playing the speakers loud, louder than would be a comfortable listening level, and again without any warning of distortion it blew a 6.5" speaker. This cheap amplifier has suddenly become the most expensive amplifier in the world. Would not recommend it.

Very powerful and clear
Working well so far. It's a class d so it does have hissing noise coming thru mids and highs between songs. Alternator whine is not present which is awesome. Has plenty of power to get very very loud and clear when turned up. I bought 2 for my 12 timpano 6.5s and 4 timpano super tweeters. Fingers crossed, the amps hold up for a long time but I'll update if any problems occur.

Great amp
This amp is so powerful and compact. The power it delivers is amazing, I have it pushing 4- 6-1/2 300 watt speakers and it is screaming. It a great amp. My friend purchased same amp for their highs and mid in their jeeps. Sounds amazing. Great product. A must buy if your looking for great sound cheap price.
