I bought the 50" for my living room last year. Been very happy with that one so I bought this one for my room. These TV's have a one of the best pictures for sports, gaming and movies. Overall I think these TV's are excellent, especially for the price. The sound is pretty good but not great. I always expect to buy a sound system now a days anyway. Also should add that it was shipped very quick. Arrived earlier then was expected.

I bought this TV 2 years ago for $150. I wasn’t expecting much, but it turns out to be excellent. It’s very lightweight, so easy to move around and wouldn’t destroy your wall if you mount it. It’s also surprisingly durable. I accidentally pushed my friend into it while we were sparring. He fell fully on it, leaning back on it, and then pushed off of it before realizing he had landed on our TV. I put another TV in my Amazon cart because I assumed it was destroyed, and left it alone for a few days. I turned it on today to see if I really had to buy a new one, and to my amazement it still works perfectly, there’s just a little bit of white light showing through the top that can easily be covered with a touch of electrical tape. I highly recommend this TV to anyone. Plus, if you have kids or pets, this TV will probably survive whatever happens to it.

My last tv basically had no volume compared to this thing, the sound on this set is overwhelming. It has the word "Sceptre" in the bottom corner that fills with color as you adjust the volume upwards. It's loud enough to hear in the entire house when the "S" is not even full yet. I'm pretty sure my ears would bleed before I got to the first "e" haha. You're not gonna need a sound bar with this one.The tv has a good picture and I'm happy with my purchase. I connected a Roku stick to it for all the features of a smart tv without the smart tv price. This tv plus the Roku combined were not even half what I paid for the last tv set, but performs better and has all the same functionality.

This is the 5th Sceptre I have owned and the best. The picture is amazing. Set-up was easy (of course). The sound is not as strong as other TVs - however it is good. While others complained about the sound, I went into the set-up and changed the equalizer to my tastes. It is not the loudest but it is a nice sound. With a soundbar, it is easily fixed if someone finds it offensive. Afterall, I don't expect a TV under $200.00 to have every single bell and whistle. This one comes very close. Buy it and you won't be disappointed.

I really was in need of a new TV for my family room. First of all, it's an energy saver television which is what I was looking for. The TV I had for years was a plasma and you could feel the heat off of it when ever you were near it. The second feature I was looking for was an LED TV. Next, I was looking for a reasonable priced TV that I could connect my computer, cell, etc. too. The picture is clear and colors nice and true. The Sceptre TV is sleek looking and the frame around the screen is almost not there, about 3/8" on the top front & sides and 1/2" on the bottom front. I think it's a very good TV for the price.

First of all,the reason why I gave only 3 stars is because of the shipping nightmare I went through to get this TV. I do not like having items shipped by Fed-Ex because they always mess up my packages. While that may not be the fault of the seller,I see it as partially on them for using the company. Anyway,on to the TV.When I got the TV it was not in a secondary box,it was sent in the product box alone. Not a big deal but I was expecting another box layer.The TV was pretty light for its size which was a nice surprise because I have back issues. So it was easy to move around to get put in place. You have to attach and install the base legs yourself too so it being light helped with that as well.Its now been a few months and I am pretty happy with this TV. It has a bit of that cheap TV sound quality and it does have that LED screen glare at angles so if you do not like that than this TV is not for you. If you choose to stick it out like I did than I suggest keeping the TV in a low light room for better quality viewing. The sound quality is not horrible but not great either so I would suggest hooking it up to a surround system,stereo or any other type of alternative speaker system. It does have a slight loss of picture quality because of its size,normally anything larger than 32 inches starts degrading a bit. That is pretty much the worse of this TV and most of it was expected for the price.This TV is a great budget TV. It also has a PC port that is starting to be phased out which I still use (VGA). Granted it is an older model but its a feature to me. It also has a really good quality signal for antenna TV surprisingly.I only recommend this TV to those willing to take the extra steps to make it worth it. If you want a higher quality than do not expect to get it at this price.

I just bought a house with a larger living room than my old house, and my little 32" wasn't cutting it. Money is tight right now but I saw this on sale for $139 for a 43"and I couldn't pass it up. Glad I took the chance and sprang for it. I was concerned that a TV was shipping from California to NJ via FedEx ground...lots of opportunities for damage to occur, but fortunately, the box is very well made and packed and arrived as though it was purchased down the street. I'm very impressed with the display. The sound is ok but I will be hooking it up to a sound system anyway so that was not of concern to me. I would buy this brand again.
